Theater Thursday

It's that time again folks! It's Theater Thursday! This week we're taking a look at one of my personal favorites (wait.. aren't they all my favorites since this is my blog?), The Wedding Date, starring Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney.

Kat (Messing) must travel back to England after being M.I.A. from her family for 3 years. The reason for her heading back to London? Her younger sister, Amy's (Adams) wedding. The groom's best man Jeffery happens to be her ex-fiance. Unable to face showing up alone she hires a professional date, Nick (Mulroney) to escort her to the wedding.

Once arriving in England they set off for the weekend wedding festivities soon learning that neither of them are going to end up getting what they bargained for...

This movie has beautiful views of the english countryside and is one of Amy Adams' first major film roles. The other supporting cast members have all been in other major films and do a really good job. The soundtrack is very nice as well..Check it out!

  3. I like this movie. You can kind of predict what is going to happen, but I think the cast did a good job.
