Happy Thanksgiving & Theater Thursday

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you have a great day with family, friends and of course eating turkey!
This week's Theater Thursday has a special place in my heart. We're looking at Home Alone & Home Alone 2

Since Home Alone first came out in 1990, my family has made watching it on Thanksgiving a staple event. Once we're done eating and playing board games we all gather around to watch Home Alone. I think it will always continue in our family and one day (God willing), I will be able to share this tradition with a spouse and kids.
If you haven't seen it you really should watch it. Just incase you haven't... Kevin McCallister is accidently left at home while the rest of his family is headed to France for their Christmas vacation. Once his parents realize he is missing they begin the long journey to get home facing no flights, no rental cars and above all not knowing if their son is ok.
Kevin on the other hand is having a blast being home alone...until 2 robbers plan on breaking into his house, along with the rest of the empty neighborhood. When Kevin learns of this plot he vows to protect his families' home and ends up surprising the would be criminals.
Alone 2 which came out in 1992 begins one year later since we last seen the McCallister family. This time though, the entire family is headed to Florida OR so they think! Running late, the family must make a mad dash to the terminal. Knowing that Kevin was at the airport, the family figured they would all make it on the plane. Wrong! Kevin finds himself in NYC while the family arrives in Miami, FL. While in NYC Kevin finds himself faced with challenges he never thought could happen.
The 2nd movie in my opinion isn't as good as the first but it's still really cute to watch. I recommend both to get you in the holiday spirit! Good luck to all those going shopping tomorrow on Black Friday!
