Road Trip Recap & Christmas

I'm back! The road trip to Pigeon Forge was great! We had a wonderful time shopping, eating, seeing all the Christmas lights and more. Once we got to PF (after 5 hours of driving) we headed to the wax museum. Neither one of us had been there so we thought why not. While there was I was re-united with my one true love...
Keanu & I
Then Lucy helped me with my upset tummy.
Once we finished up we headed over to the Salt & Pepper Shaker Museum. Yes, you read that right. There is indeed a museum dedicated to only salt & pepper shakers. Infact, we basically went to it, to see if it was an elaborate joke. Well guess what...they weren't kidding.
We saw over 20,000 sets. Apparently the museum was also featured on the Food network. They had them placed in categories (fruit, animals, holidays, etc)
Once we were done there we headed off to our dinner show. The Dixie Stampede. Sadly they don't allow photos taken inside. So you'll just have to take my word on it. The show was excellent and the food was fantastic! I've never ate so much in my life. They literally give you a piece of ham, a potato wedge, soup, a cheddar biscuit, corn on the cob, an apple fritter and a whole cornish hen chicken.
The next day we headed over to the Christmas Place. Where I decided the best thing to do with my paycheck was to buy ornaments. Here is sample (yes, I said sample) of what I bought. There's more than in these photos. I personally love my ice cream light set!
This picture includes the wonderful ornament Jenn B. sent me!
Some of you might be wondering why most of the ornaments are candy or candy related. Well... that's because I'm doing a whole candy/cookie themed tree this year (in addition to my regular tree) If you missed the first post w/pics on my candy tree go here.

My friends and I went to that same wax museum over the summer. It was so much fun. It was practically empty when we were there so we were acting ridiculous for the pictures. ;)

  19. All those salt & pepper shakers looks amazing! And it does seem like something they would show on the Food Network. And speaking of TV, I'm pretty sure I saw the Duggars go see Dixie Stampede on their show
