I fell off the wagon.
I had given up chocolate for lent. I was doing so good and then.... my girl scout cookies got delivered. I was staying strong and opened up only the shortbread box. Then I got mad about something and without even thinking, opened up the tagalongs and started chowing down.
I feel pretty bad about it. So now I'm trying to make sure I don't eat anymore for the rest of the time.
Has anyone else had a problem with this years lent?
OH MY GOD IT"S COOKIE SEASON!
ReplyDeleteHaving been a girl scout for many years...I miss it all the more...sigh.
seriously, who could give up girl scout cookies??!?!?!
ReplyDeletehave you had the lemonaides?
yummy!!
I have as well :( I gave up Starbucks.. but I slipped and had some. Oh well - maybe we will do better next year?!
ReplyDeleteLol. As a Baptist I don't do lent, but this made me laugh because I can so relate.
ReplyDeleteYep, I too gave up chocolate and was doing so good until my girl scout cookies arrived. I may or may not have eaten the entire box.
ReplyDeleteI suck... I didn't even give anything up this year :(
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!
I swear Girl Scouts always choose the best season to sell cookies. And those tagalongs are sooo hard to resist!
ReplyDeleteWith everything that has happened here, my resolution hasn't gone as well as I wanted it too. But I figure as long as I keep trying that is all that matters. DON'T GIVE UP!
I am not strong enough to give up chocolate!!
ReplyDeleteI think it is forgivable, I mean they are GIRL SCOUT COOKIES!!!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand how hard it is to give up something you do or eat without even thinking about it. I gave up Facebook for lent and I have found myself getting onto the computer less and less, or else I am tempted to pop in and chat it up without stopping. I tried to give up soda once, didn't last three days... how awful is that. The good thing about my chocolate craving is that I don't get it that often and my favorite GS cookies are the Do-si-dos. Peanut butter sandwiched in between two peanut butter cookies is pure sin.
ReplyDeleteGood luck getting back on the wagon with not eating chocolate:)
ReplyDeletetotally understandable!!! I got my share of g/s cookies and ate 1 box in 2 days!
ReplyDeleteI don't really observe lent but I am changing my diet... Or trying. And failing. ;)
ReplyDeleteI missed Theater Thursday in my Strep Throat-ness. :( Thoroughly bummer. I would have done Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea since that is what kept me occupied while sick. haha
Girl, how can you not resist girl scout cookies?!? They are amazing!
ReplyDeleteI fell off last night - I had ONE cookie.. but I had to taste them... I baked them to give away and it was quality assurance testing. That's fairly reasonable, right???
