A place to hang our hats

Finally! We have a hotel booked for our trip to California!
We will be staying here....
The Roosevelt Hotel
The lobby of Hotel Roosevelt
I was starting to sweat a little with panic. It's only 57 days away and we had no place to sleep while being in L.A. Well...finally after looking at tons of hotels we finally decided upon the famous and star studded Hotel Roosevelt. Maybe we'll see a few celebrities in the bar while there. Apparently a lot of them hang out here.

Now that we've got that taken care of we just have to figure out how we want to spend our days. We're thinking a studio tour either Universal or Warner Brothers. We're also planning on seeing the Hollywood Sign, Hollywood Walk of Fame, The Famous Chinese Theater, the Observatory and much more. Have you ever been to LA? What are some of your suggestions or must sees?

  1. Isn't that the same place where they always have pool parties on The Hills?? I think famous people go there!

  2. If you can get into the Kodak Theater, (they do tours) it's cool to see where the Oscars are held and you get to walk across the stage and stuff like that (I know you love movies!) :)

  4. You have to check out the beaches. Santa Monica beach has a pier & just a few blocks away is the 3rd street promenade with lots of places to shop! And Venice beach is an adventure all on its own! Even if u don't get a rentalpublic transportation is eeeaaasssyyy. How exciting! Living here all my life I have yet to do the tourist thing! I should :)

  9. Let me know how the hotel is once you get there or after of course. Curious. ;) Awww. Los Angeles...my lovely city!!! Shopping in Santa Monica is fun. :) I doubt that you'll do that, but my favorite time to enter L.A. is by taking the 101 coming from north...when you are still in Ventura county and driving slowly into Los Angeles county...not sure why...haha. Just is. Like seeing downtown and its skyline and all...at night of course. LOL ;)

So wanna go back now. Awwww...miss that crazy and beautiful city. :D

Have a ton of fun girl. :D

    xoxo

  14. Looks like a pretty sweet hotel!! (I hope you bring your camera, in case you see any celebs :)

We went to L.A. last year for the first time. You listed pretty much all the places we went to. But, if you have time, you might want to catch a live show, too. We saw Jay Leno, which was a lot of fun.

  15. 1)I am very jealous. Not because you are going to LA but because of the hotel you are staying in! I live in southern CA, actually about 30 miles east of LA (in north OC) but I have always wanted to stay in the Roosevelt! I have been to a dance there and ran into so many celebs so keep your eyes peeled bc that place is typically crawling with a-listers.

    2) You must check out all the culture of LA, the art disctrict, China Town, olvera street. Make sure to take note of all the authentic non-touristy things about LA. You will be blown away.

Are you just going to LA or will you be venturing into OC as well? I can tell you some great places there.

I am sure you will love LA and CA:) So much fun!

  18. You can't really go to the Hollywood Sign. It's on the hill, and I believe they stopped letting people walk to it to avoid graffiti. But if you're already going to the Chinese Theater, Hollywood & Highland is right next door, and has a pretty nice view of the sign. Hollywood & Highland is also where the Kodak theater is as well.
