The Tale of the Pink Shoes

In the late fall of 2008, I went to Target on a random shopping trip and stumbled upon a pink pair of flats. They were on clearance going into the winter season. I bought them thinking I could wear them for the rest of the fall and then later again once it warmed up. I thought they were really cute and would be a great to wear with casual clothing.
Flash forward to 2010.
These shoes have become my favorite. They're so comfortable, I find myself slipping them on with everything. They've molded to my feet so they feel just right. I wish I would have bought 2 pairs of them because they've been nothing but amazing

I've taken them and worn them so many places. The pink shoes have been to Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Tennessee and California.

Excuse me, while I go scour the internet looking for a never worn pair of them. My lovely shoes are almost completely worn thru to the soles and will sadly have to be retired in a few more months.

  1. When flats became all the rage I didn't get it, then I bought some to wear with my jeans that were too short for heels and now I'm hooked. I'm a realtor so having something comfortable to wear while showings houses is a major plus, love your cute pink flats!

  2. Those are too cute! As a tall girl I'm always looking for good comfy flats...too bad they're circa 2 years ago. Probably won't find them now!

  3. Ooh!! Adorable!! I have a pair of Reef flip flops that have seen better days, but they've also waded in the Mississippi and the Thames with me. I cannot part with them!

  8. I know how that is. I hate it when that *perfect* clothing item goes and it's hard to find a replacement. For me, it was these flipflops that came out maybe 5 or 6 years ago. THey were from American Eagle and made of corduroy, they were perfect! I hate regular Old Navy flip flops because the center plastic things give me blisters. But these cord ones were perfect. I bought 4 pairs. And they slowly died. Took me forever to find suitable replacements.

  17. I hate when your favorite pair of shoes finally wears out, it sucks! I love those shoes, I've been looking for cute boat shoes for a long time. Hopefully you can find some, if not, journeys had a pair just like them, they were even pink and super comfy.

  21. I have had the same thing happen to me too. I have now gotten into the (expensive) habit of buying two of certain things that I love. I'm really bad at doing it with things I buy at Nordstroms and Banana Republic. Good luck finding a similar pair. Endless.com is my new go-to place for shoes.

How funny that I have a pair of shoes I got recently at Target that I've been wearing like crazy, I was in there the other day and actually DID buy the same exact pair because I'm afraid of something happening to these and I just LOVE them too much, haha!
