Vintage Closet Part 1

I can't believe it's taken me this long to finally post about the great vintage clothing I got while in Los Angeles!
I love love love vintage clothing, so when I was stumbled upon American Vintage on Melrose Avenue, I was in heaven. Pure heaven.
The first time I visited A.V. I was in a rush. I only had about 20 minutes to look around before needing to be over at Paramount Studios and if you've ever shopped vintage before, then you know that's not even time to find great finds. So, the first trip there I focused on accessories and jewelry, mainly rings. 20 minutes later, I walked out with buying 5 rings & a purse:
Pink above, clear below
I also got this style of ring in red.
In addition to the rings, I also scored this great bag. It's leather and has tons of great pockets. It's huge and holds a lot of stuff. I've posted pictures with me carrying it but here's a picture of it by itself.
Stay tuned for the second part of my vintage shopping! It's all of the clothing.

  1. I absolutely love vintage jewelry! My grandmother was a jeweler for more than 20 years (she then switched to making high-end costumes for exotic dancers...) I spent summers in her shop watching her making things going "ooooh ahhhh, that's purty!" She never used diamonds, rubies or any other precious stones. Always semi-precious and sea-products. (Her shop sat 1/2 block from the beach). Lucky for me, she had horrid eyesight and bad joints...I got to spend my days gathering up all the things she dropped and making my own version of her designs. Unfortunately, I have very little of her work left. When she passed, mom got it all. Shortly after she moved, several boxes of finished work and jewelry making materials were stolen from her garage. *Sad face*

  10. Love the rings! 1st & 3rd are my favs.

I'm an accessory junkie (you know, because they still fit if your clothes don't!) but have been slacking in the ring department.
