This weekend I will be in Memphis!

I'm so excited to finally be getting to see things such as Graceland, Sun Studios and walk down Beale Street! I also can't wait to vintage shop and see the historical site where Martin Luther King once stood. I think it's going to be a great time.

If you have any suggestions on places to eat at, shop or see then please let me know!!! This will be my first time staying in Memphis so suggestions will be appreciated!
Before I leave, I wanted to make sure you guys know that I'll be tweeting from the road and uploading pics on there so if you don't already follow me over there check me out! JmoMiller
I have never been to Memphis but I hope you have a great time!
ReplyDeleteGosh, lucky you! I wish I got to do all the traveling that you get to do. Have fun this weekend! Can't wait to see pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun...I have always wanted to go to Graceland....you are gonna have a rockin' time! Sorry no tips here I haven't been yet LOL...
ReplyDeleteI tried to email you yesterday but my email is being crazy since the Verizon/Frontier switch thingy....blech
Anywho that was quite a game! Whooo I was like on the edge of my couch...so was the hubs...I thought for sure Marshall had the game and then the fumble and I was like no....I felt bad for the guy since he is a freshman and I am sure he is gonna take lots of heat for it....I was secretly rooting for Marshall since they haven't won against WVU yet and I would have liked to seen them win one...shhhhh don't tell my fam they are hard core WVU fans and almost all went to WVU LOL....the hubs likes both teams but leans towards Marshall....anywho....when WVU came back like that 8 minutes before the game was over I couldn't believe it...then in OT....though for sure Marshall was going to win and they missed the field goal....
Well I hope they win next time :0)
I'm glad my Steelers won last weekend and it wasn't such a stressful game hahahaha
xoxo
Memphis is SO much fun! My favorite part was checking out Sun Records and going on their tour—I just loved it! Also, check out Elvis's house, it's worth the money to take that tour, too, at least I think it is!
ReplyDeleteWe at at the Neely's BBQ, which was good (I had their yummy BBQ Spaghetti!), but there was a BBQ place I wanted to eat at called the Interstate, that place is supposedly delicious! Have fun!

ReplyDeleteI swear, you travel more than anybody I know! Enjoy your time in Memphis! I've always wanted to go there.
ReplyDeleteWe went to Memphis about two years ago.
ReplyDeleteObviously Graceland is a must. You could easily spend 1/2 to 3/4 day depending on how much you like Elvis.
Try to catch the ducks in the morning or the afternoon at the Peabody. Also, they have a really nice bar...we went for a drink and stayed for the ducks!
Right across the street is Rendevous BBQ. It was really good! I have had locals say it's overrated/touristy but we really enjoyed it!
I have a facebook album if you want to look at some of the places we went while we were there!
OMG...I love the BBQ nachos you can get in the Memphis airport. I keep swearing I'm going to go there (Memphis, not the airport) to eat my way through every single bbq joint. Nomnomnom
ReplyDeleteHey frequent flier! Have fun - you have some awesome Memphis plans! :)
