Today's topic is Christmas Decorations!
I love Christmas and one of my favorite things about it is the decorations. This year I have 3 trees up in the house. One being my 6.5 ft. white tree...
It's mainly all candy theme ornaments. I did a whole post on it a few days ago, to see more of the tree and the ornaments you can see them here.
Then there's the tree in my bedroom. I've actually had it up all year long. I put it up last September and then once the holidays were over, I decided that I wanted to keep the Christmas cheer going all year long.

And then of course our live Christmas tree. It's 6-7ft. tall and smells so good! Every year since I was a child we've always had a real Christmas tree. I can't imagine not having a live one. We just got it on Saturday afternoon and it's not finished yet, so right now here's the photo of it getting picked out!
Apart from the trees, we always go full out when it comes to decorating. We've got our banisters covered in garland/lights. We've got our manger scene up, the holly spread out around door frames, candles out, etc. You name it, we've got it!

We just put up our tree as well - my 3 year old deserves most of the credit for it! I don't have pictures though ... =(

ReplyDeleteWe are not putting decorations up...I know, I know. But we live in a very small place and both sides of the family decorate and we see them all so frequently that it's like having decorations up.
Plus, what would I do with it all after? We will more than likely be moving in 8 months and it all becomes more stuff to haul around.
I know, I know...excuses. But it's the truth.

ReplyDeleteI love your trees :) We're getting our tree this coming weekend. I'm so excited! I just hope Lil Mootz or the new giant puppy doesn't rip all of our ornaments off.... It's possible we'll have to decorate from the middle and up only...

ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, 3 trees! You are so cute for keeping the one in your room up all year. That cracked me up! I'm afraid I don't have too much to show cause I don't get a live tree here since I go home to Georgia for Christmas and my parents have trees there!

ReplyDeleteWe've never had a real tree!! My mom's allergic and my dad hates with a passion putting lights on a tree, so we've always had a fake one. I've never had it different so I've never minded, but I've always wanted the experience of picking one out!!
