Legend

A friend recommended this book because she knows how much I love the Hunger Games. Let me tell you... I was not disappointed!
Legend is about a young girl named June living a privileged lifestyle. Her life however, hasn't been filled with all roses. Her parents were killed in a car accident and she was left to be cared for by her older brother Metias. She is now 16 years old and is at an Academy that will educate her in every subject she may need to become a solider for the country. However she's already got an in.... her brother.

Metias is a leader in the military and June wants to be there with him. When she's suspended from school (where she's at the top of her school) Metias brings her home. He tells her that he's got something very important to tell her and that when he gets back from his mission of the night he'll explain everything to her. June doesn't think too much about it.

Later that night her brother encounters the country's most notorious and elusive criminal Day. One of them doesn't walk away from the encounter and June's life is instantly altered. She finds herself thrown into a military position early and hunting for Day. Can June survive the loss of her brother and the pressure of looking for his killer? Will June meet the same fate as her brother or will she be successful in finding him? Along the way there is multiple twists and turns.

It's suspenseful and a great read. I just got the second book in this trilogy and I can't wait to read it. I'm already hoping that they do a movie or television show. I feel like this could surpass Divergent and be right up there with the Hunger Games. If you find yourself needing something read pick this book up!

I've heard of this book but the premise didn't quite do it for me. However, the fact that you liked it makes me want to second kind my choice. Maybe I'll add it to my Goodreads. Thanks lady!

This book is on my to-read list. The premise sounded promising, but it's always good to read a positive review- glad you enjoyed it!
