Theater Thursday

It's Thursday and that can only mean one thing... it's Theater Thursday! This week's featured movie is, American Gigolo.
Julian (Richard Gere) is a high priced escort in Beverly Hills, California. He makes his living by taking elderly women who would never be suspected of paying for a man's time out on dates and entertains them in the bedroom. At the same time he by chance meets an up and coming politician's wife named Michelle (Lauren Hutton). He begins casually sleeping with her for free and they begin to have more than they realized in common.

One night while he's out turning a trick as a favor for someone, one of his clients is murdered. The cops begin to suspect Julian and start to question his very shy, wealthy clients about the services he provides. Minute by minute Julian realizes that he's being framed and must find out who it is before the cops can find him. His life depends on it.

At the same time Michelle is out there trying to do whatever she can to protect Julian even if it means the world will find out about her affair.

Up In The Air

And I'm not talking about the movie...
I feel like I have so many things up in the air right now. I wonder if I hold enough balloons I can float away?

I've got vacation times coming up and days off and nothing planned yet. I've been thinking about what I want to do and where I want to go but haven't set anything in stone yet for those dates. I'm toying with the ideas of Vegas, CA, some tropical beach or maybe even NYC or Chicago. Decisions... decisions.

I've also got work decisions up in the air. I mean really, why is it taking this long to get my transfer. Come on! I've been patient for over a year now. It's time... call me people! Let's set a date to get this move rolling. Also, speaking of jobs, I interviewed recently for a part time gig on the side, just to make some extra money. The people ended up loving me and asked if I'd make a career change. A part of me wanted to be like YES!

So while I'm mulling over tons of decisions, the blog must go on! I'm also hoping to make a very large announcement on here soon. *wink wink*

The Year of the Cards

Without even knowing it, an idea turned into a goal. Every year I send out Christmas cards. This past year was no different. I always like making out cards and I think getting real mail is always something fun! I mean really, who likes getting bills in the mail? No one.

So when Valentine's Day rolled around, I decided to keep the cards going. I pulled out my list of addresses that I used at Christmas time and sent out a stack of Valentines to everyone. I even hand made the cards.

Then St. Patrick's Day popped up and I saw some really cute cards in a store and decided to buy them to send out. I got out my trusty list and addressed them and sent them off on their way. At this point, I figured either my recipients were either getting really annoyed with all the mail I was sending them or it was putting a smile on their faces. I got a few messages from friends telling me that they really liked them so I decided to continue with the card tradition...

That's when Easter came up on the calendar. Thanks to Hobby Lobby I found just enough sets of cards to be able to send out Happy Easter notes. Once Easter was over, I started looking at the calendar and realized that there really isn't anything until Memorial Day and can you even send a card for that?

So if you are of the people that receives cards from me, have no fear... I'm sure you'll see another one in your mailbox soon! Not getting cards from me and want one? Shoot me your name and address and consider yourself on the list! I mean really, who doesn't get excited about real mail that isn't a bill?!

Theater Thursday

It's Thursday and that can only mean one thing around here... it's Theater Thursday! Since the beginning of this blog, I have always had Theater Thursday and featured a movie that is currently available on dvd or available to watch online. If you love a movie and want people to know about it, grab the button and join in!

This week's featured movie is, Erin Brockovich.
Julia Roberts stars as Erin Brockovich. Erin is a single mothers of three young kids who after a car crash is strapped for cash. Desperately needing a job she stalks out the lawyer who made sure she got nothing during her car accident trial. After approaching him, Ed (Albert Finney) gives her a job.

Trying to find work to do inside his legal office, she begins to investigate a case involving the water contamination by a huge company, Pacific Gas & Electric. Erin gets emotionally invested after meeting with several families who have been poisoned because of PG&E and their practices about dumping their chemicals.

Erin and Ed go up against the huge corporation and take on several hundred clients to get what's right and fair. This is based on a true story and Julia Roberts earned an Oscar for her performance.

Welcome to Camp TV

Have you been watching this show?
Horribly bad but sooooo good! Her accent is terrible, she gives massage therapists a really bad reputation and for that matter paid ladies of the night. However, it's so entertaining!

My bff Erica and I text during the show and make fun of it as it's happening. It's that good people. Seriously tune in! I don't want this to get cancelled. I keep hearing there's a movie but I can't seem to catch it when it's playing.

Theater Thursday!

It's Thursday and that can only mean one thing around these parts... It's Theater Thursday! This week's featured movie is, Mr. Nanny.
Mr. Nanny stars Terry "Hulk" Hogan as the nanny! What starts out as him being a bodyguard for a CEO of a powerful computer chip company becomes a nightmare job as two children's nanny.

When the CEO and father of two begins to get death threats he calls in ex wrestler and now bodyguard Shawn (hogan) to protect him and his family. What Shawn doesn't know is that there's a person out there who's seeking revenge on him and just so happens to be the same person making the threats to steal a highly new innovative computer chip.

Shawn will have to go through a lot to win over the love and trust of this new family (the kids are a massive handful) and he'll have to face his past to make it through the future.

If you've never seen this 90's classic, check it out!

Fashion To Figure

A few weeks ago, I got the pleasure of learning about an online fashion store called, Fashion to Figure .
The good people at Fashion to Figure bring fashion to the figure 12-26. They offer everything from denim to accessories and much more! I spent a few hours on their site going through all of their great choices of tops, skirts and handbags.

After much debate and trying to narrow it down to just one item, I chose to order one of their great clutch bags....

I got their envelope clutch in yellow and I love it! I can't wait to carry it to a wedding that I'm going to this summer. It'll be perfect for the occasion. I also loved how fast Fashion to Figure got the order shipped. There's nothing worse than waiting on something in the mail and FTF had the order to me within a week!

If you get time go to their site and check out some of their great products!

Disclosure: I was compensated a free item in return for this review. However, all opinions are my own.

Never Give Up

I am a fighter.
I am persistent.
I do not give up.
I keep going.
I am determined.
I am passionate.
I believe persistence pays.

When someone attacks me or the people I love, I become a caged animal. I have no patience or forgiveness for them. I become determined to avenge the wrongs. I gather all the information I can get my hands on and work out a way to get the job done.

Right now I'm on a mission. They picked the wrong person to mess with because I will not go quietly into the night. I will not give up.

Easter Weekend

This past week I had four days off and I used them to the best of my advantage. I got out of town!

I did a miniature road trip to the Newport Aquarium outside of Cincinnati. I've been there before but I'm guessing because of spring breaks and the Easter holiday, the place was packed out! They had a 2 hour wait to even get inside the place.

So what did we do to kill time? We walked around Newport on the Levee and enjoyed the human hamster balls. Have you seen these?
It was $8.00 well spent. You get inside of them, they add all of the air and then they push into a pool so you can roll around on the surface without getting wet!

Once the wait was over, I was able to get inside the aquarium and see all the creatures of the sea. Since my last visit they got a new addition of an alligator called Mighty Mike. He was literally over 500 pounds! Even though we had to wait a few hours to get inside, the trip was definitely worth it.

Easter bunny hopped by and dropped off some baskets!
I had a fun Easter weekend! Hope you did too!

Theater Thursday

Theater Thursday is here! This week's featured movie is a little different. It's whatever you make it!

I've been posting Theater Thursday for a long time, basically ever since I started blogging. So my question is... What's your favorite movie?

I love so many movies but one of my all time favorites is, Big Business!

When Bad Things Happen To Good People

Yesterday I got some really devastating news.

I'm at a loss for words. I feel defeated and heart broken. I've sat here and tried to write this post for awhile now and nothing comes to me. I still can't find the words to explain how I feel. I thought yesterday was going to be so different. I had hoped it would be then came the devastating news.

I can't talk about the circumstances behind all of this sadness but I think this is the most helpless I've ever felt. I don't know what to do and there's nothing I can say or do to make things better.

I guess I just have to try to get up and live each day and hope for the best.

Thanks for all the kind words on twitter yesterday.
