End of Year Review

2017 is in the books and of course it flew by. I can't believe Christmas is over and a New Year is here. Clearly since I'm doing my year end review two weeks into the new year.

January
We rang in the New Year in Las Vegas. We came home on the 2nd and started making tons of goals and travel plans.

February

We celebrated Valentines Day together by going to a local but famous steakhouse. We were way disappointed in their food but finished the night out by going to the movies.

March

We visited New York City! This was both our first time there and we loved touring the city. There was so much to see and do!

May

We visited Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and my mom.

June
I celebrated my birthday and then literally found out that I was having a baby. I was hit with morning sickness immediately at 6 weeks pregnant and spent the rest of the month dying from smells, food and everything in between.

July

I still had the worst morning sickness and would continue through December but I trooped on and we headed to San Diego, California for a weekend out of town and to go to the world famous San Diego Comic Con. It was also my mom's birthday!

August
We got out of town and headed up to northern Washington. We went to the Funko HQ grand opening. We were lucky to be one of the 1,000 people they let in that day. People flew from all across the globe and still didn't get in. We got the golden ticket though!

October

We celebrated my husband's birthday by heading back to Seattle, Washington. We love going to Seattle and spending time there. We went to his favorite steak house- The Metropolitan Grill. We visited the aquarium, took a harbor cruise and had such a great time.

November

We flew to the east coast and visited my mom. I knew this would be my last long distance trip till after our baby comes so wanted to make the most of it. We went to our favorite place- Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Saw tons of shows, shopped, stayed at the Inn at Christmas Place and had an early Thanksgiving dinner together.

December

Christmas came and went so fast! Christmas is my favorite time of the year but being 7 1/2 months pregnant it was hard to decorate. It took me longer to get things done and I have a feeling these 7 trees in my house will remain up till way into January. We celebrated Christmas in California and tried to make the best out of not being able to travel.

New Year, New Goals

I haven't made a New Years Resolution in years and instead I try to set goals to accomplish throughout the year. This year I've thought about everything I'd like to accomplish and what I'd like my 2016 to look like. After 2015 being so hectic, I'm looking forward to a calmer and more relaxing year.

Travel.

We didn't do a lot of travel in 2015 so this year I'd like to travel more. Even if it's just little short trips it's still a trip. We have plans for San Diego and now we are working on Seattle, Texas, Tennessee, West Virginia and our honeymoon.

Reading.

I love to read but last year was the least amount of books I've ever read in a year. Luckily my mom helped me out and got me 5 books for Christmas so that should help start out this year right.

Save. Save. Save.

Guess who cut off their premium movie channels? Me! Baby steps to big savings. This year I'm focusing on how to cut corners and save everywhere we can.

Be Positive.

Everyone can get caught in a negative thought or has a friend who's a Debbie downer and can bring us down but not me. I'm going to steer clear of the negative nellies and when people start being negative around me, I'll just remove myself from the situation. I'm going to be nothing but sunshine and keep reminding myself of the positive.

Remain in Contact.

Last year I felt like I was so overwhelmed and busy that I couldn't keep up with my family and friends. I use to send out cards for every little holiday and I didn't even send out Christmas cards in 2015 because I was so busy. So I'm determined to make a huge effort this year on sending out snail mail and be better about texting and calling my friends.

Those are my hopes and goals for 2016. What's yours?

Happy New Year!

It's a new year!

Is here and it's going to be an amazing year. I can tell.

I never do New Years Resolutions. I just make goals for myself. This year I have a few simple things that I'd like to tackle and accomplish.

1. Save money for the wedding.
2. Lose at least 5-10 pounds for the wedding.
3. Watch all of the movies I have sitting on my shelf that have gone unwatched.
4. Read at least 10 books.
5. Stay organized and keep the house clean.

I kept mine pretty simple this year. I'm even getting a head start by watching one of those movies on the shelf right now!

What's your goals for 2015?

The Year in Review

2014 has been one of the best years of my entire life. Seriously. I mean it. I know a lot of people say that every year but I don't. I didn't know I could have this continuously happy feeling and it feels amazing. Why was this year one of the best? Well let's review it...

January
I bought a new couch. Beezy was at my house everyday.

February
Beezy and I celebrated our first Valentines day together.

March

We headed to Puerto Rico! Beezy and I went with his cousin and a group of her friends. Neither one of us had ever been there before so it was nice to go together.

April
The Easter bunny paid us a visit!

May
Beezy completed the mud run and prepared for the Spartan race!

June
I turned 30 years old. I thought I was going to be really sad but I wasn't. It was just weird to say that I was 30 rather than 29. My mom came to town and helped us celebrate!
 Napa/Lake Tahoe

July
We spent a week on the big island of Hawaii. We snorkeled, went to volcanos, visited black sand beaches and even green sand beaches.

August

I experienced my first raiders game. The tailgate parking lot too.

September

The Kings started playing again!!!That meant that we went to a lot of games.

October
On Halloween we celebrated by going in costume to the Kings game. They liked us so much they put us in their Halloween costume contest! We also celebrated Beezy's birthday!

November
I went home for Thanksgiving and Beezy headed to Tahoe to be with his family. We also went to the Justin Timberlake concert.

December
We got engaged! Went a Hornblower cruise around the bay. Celebrated our Anniversary and we also celebrated Christmas and it was all wonderful!

I can't wait for 2015!!

Saying Goodbye to 2013

Is it really the end of another year? Where did this year go? Before we say hello to 2014, I want to take a look back on 2013.

On January 1st, I rang in the New Year with family in West Virginia.
(Clearly Miley stole the tongue thing from me)

Shortly after New Years, I jumped on a plane and headed back to California.

In April some friends and I headed to Reno, Nevada. I had never been there so it was a new experience and something fun to do.

In June my mom came out to California and we celebrated my Birthday! We traveled to San Francisco, San Jose and Santa Cruz. We had a lot of fun!
 (at the beach boardwalk)

(Visiting the Golden Gate)

(Visiting the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose)

In July I visited the Redwoods for the first time.
And I saw some of Northern California for the first time...
 (Coastal town: Crescent City)

In August, I started going to NBA games with Beezy...

In October, I celebrated Halloween with friends...

In November, I was able to travel back to West Virginia for Thanksgiving. I also worked on completing my 30 Before 30 List.

In December, I celebrated Christmas with family.

I'm working New Years Eve and New Years day so that's how I'll end the year!
