Completely Comped

Over the weekend, Beezy and I stayed at the Thunder Valley Hotel and Casino.

We've both been there before to hang out and gamble but we've always went home at the end of the night. When he got a letter in the mail telling him that he had a completely free stay thanks to him MGM points we jumped on the opportunity. The parking. The King Suite. 50% off the buffet and 35.00 dollars in slot play. All included. Who wouldn't take them up on that offer?

When we got to the room we were pleasantly surprised to see how much space we had. The room had a large, marble bathroom. A huge glass stand in shower with a rainfall head, a huge soaking tub and great freebies!

 selfie of course

Beezys favorite part about the room...
He wants a Keurig pretty bad! Maybe Santa will bring him one this Christmas season? We shall see! I think if he would have taken the time to put one on he would have liked the terry cloth rob they had for us.
Sadly, the pool was closed the night we were there. The hotel had a private event taking place and it was closed off. Granted, the hotel did make us aware of that fact before we booked our night. The pool looked really nice though so maybe there will be another time we can swim in it.

We had planned on getting up in the morning and going to the pool but it was a little overcast and chilly with the wind. Before we left we even won a little money! If you're in Lincoln, California visit the casino and hotel. It's got everything from table games to penny slots. They have room service, they have theme night buffets, the pool and did I mention cave man keno?! Go! Have fun!

Pay It Forward

I've made it no secret around these parts that I love to travel. I've blogged about vacations to Memphis, Los Angeles, Orlando, San Francisco, England and France just to name a few.

I've made it a goal of mine this year to take an amazing vacation outside of the United States. Now here's the only problem I have with that.... I also made a budget for the year. Ek!

That's where you come in!

I've set up an account with
and I found a fabulous, budget friendly vacation. What's even better is that Tripalertz gives me 5.00 dollars for every person I get to sign up on their site. So not only can I get this vacation for cheap but you can help me get it for even cheaper. All you have to do is sign up on their site (which is free) and activate your account by e-mail. That's not even the best part. Once you sign up and activate your account, not only do I get the 5.00 dollars but they give you a $25.00 credit!

They have everything from entire vacation packages to hotel accommodations.

So if you could PLEASE take the time to sign up and activate your account I would be forever grateful! All you have to do is use this special link  or I can even send you a special e-mail to help me out.

Major Updates

It's time for a major update. I've been holding out on everyone. I was waiting for a few things to happen or not happen before I updated but here it goes...
My uncle Kenneth and his wife Amy are expecting! They've been married since 2005 and had dated a few years before tying the knot. We found out last week and I am extremely excited for them. I want to babysit for them hardcore and that scares me because I realize how much I want to have a baby one day in my life.

The interview for the radio job. I rocked it. I thought I did great. I walked out of that building thinking that it was one of the best interviews that I had ever done. I had a feeling that they really liked me. I thought it felt natural and a right fit. Um... apparently not. It's been over two weeks and I haven't heard a peep. The only thing that holds me back from being sad about it and still holding to hope that I wasn't wrong is the fact that they haven't hired anyone so far for the position. Let's forget that whole fact that I have no experience in radio. Haha!

Remember the goals I made for the new year? Well so far I've been on target! I started with 5 credit cards needing to be paid off. Now I'm down to 3 and I've almost got one of those done so soon it'll be down to 2. I've also been saving money and it's going straight to my Buy A House Fund.
Last week I had entered a contest to win a trip to Graceland (because hello, everyone knows I love Elvis) and a stay at the famous Heartbreak Hotel. Well Monday, I found out I won! So guess who'll be making another pilgrimage to Memphis... ME!

Speaking of buying a house... it's hard to buy a house when you have no idea what city you'll be living in. Yeah... we'll get into that one later.

Travel Junkie

Today is the last day to enter my Christmas in July Giveaway so if you haven't done so please go here. It ends tonight at 12:00pm est. The winner will be randomly selected from random.org this weekend and announced on Sunday or Monday.

I am so thankful today is Friday. Even though I'm still in the middle of my work week (I work Thursday-Sunday), I'm so happy to see today. It brings me another day closer to getting out of town and being in Florida. To say that I cannot wait would be an understatement, I need to escape!

Ever since I came back from my glorious 16 days in Los Angeles and New Mexico. I have been craving more travel. AND yes I know I went to Tennessee a couple of weeks ago but it was only an overnight visit. This time it's a different feeling. I came back wanting to travel forever. Hello! My name is Jennifer and I am a travel junkie. Hi Jennifer!
I wish I could get paid to travel the world. I'd be willing to do that. Actually, I'd be ecstatic to do that. I would take silly pictures (some serious of course), eat at all the local restaurants, shop in the markets, do everything tourist style and talk to anyone who would listen about my experiences. How did Samantha Brown get so lucky?

There's gotta be a way...
