A Reviewed Theater Thursday

It's Thursday and that typically means... it's Theater Thursday! This week though I'm going to do something a little different. I watched a movie a few weeks ago and talked about it here. Beezy hated it and I thought it was pretty good for it's time. It just seemed like one of those movies that you'd watch once and think hmm... ok I watch it.

That was Easter weekend and now every time I think about something to watch I catch myself thinking about that movie. I have no idea why either that's the thing. The movie wasn't anything extraordinary. Harrison Ford was the only good actor in the entire movie and while the story line was interesting and different it was just odd. Yet, I want to see it again!

Harrison Ford is living in the year 2019 in Los Angeles. He lives in a world where replicants have been genetically engineered to look like humans to due grunt types of work. Once people realized they became highly unstable they were banned on Earth. Replicants who defy the ban and come to Earth are hunted down and "retired". They are hunted down by men called Blade Runners. Rick (Ford) is a retired police officer and ex Blade Runner. He is persuaded to come out retirement to hunt down 4 replicants who have came to Earth. He starts at the Tyrell Corporation where the replicants were originally made. It's there he meets Rachael. Is she a human or a replicant? He must go through a longer process with her to find out. She is the newest model of replicant and she herself believes that she is human.

He's intrigued by her and at the same time he knows he kills people just like her. The replicants who have came to Earth are killing humans and Rick must track them down quickly. He hits the streets to find them but can't get Rachael out of his mind. Will he kill Rachael just like the others? Watch and find out!

A Real Life Rocket Racoon

A year ago I was introduced to paper masks by Ipsy. I had never thought of wearing paper masks, I had only ever thought of clay. I tried a paper mask and really liked it! I then kept applying one about every 3-4 weeks. A month ago, I was sent a multi pack of Freeman Beauty Masks. It was a mixture of clay and paper masks. Since we were moving and packing things up, time got away from me and I didn't try any of them until the night before we moved out of our old home. I tried this mask out of the stack...

I have very sensitive skin because of that I read skin care and makeup labels thoroughly. The mask was labeled for, "All skin types" and said that you could wear it 5-10 minutes. I cleaned my face, waited a few minutes for it to try and then applied my paper mask. I went and laid down on our couch while Beezy watched some television and told him to let me know when 10 minutes passed. Eight minutes later, I sat up and had to take the mask off. I thought I started to feel some tingling and maybe a little bit of heat. I knew it was labeled as an "energizing" so maybe that's why it was tingling?

When I got into the bathroom, I took the mask off and cue the freak out! The heat that I felt, it was completely burning my face. My face was red. It looked like I had laid outside all day long in the blazing sun with no sunscreen. Thank goodness, I didn't leave it on for the last two minutes. My face was burning, red and HOT to the touch. I had to immediately wash my face with cold water and continue to do so for 5 minutes before I felt like I wasn't on fire. The redness wasn't going away. It lasted so long that I went to bed and just prayed that it went away.

I know what you're thinking, It couldn't have been that bad. Oh really... well let me prove you wrong.

I will never use Freeman Beauty products again. I was completely freaked out. There wasn't a phone number on the package to call for an emergency. The package was also clearly labeled the wrong way because this mask was NOT for sensitive skin. Beezy was so shocked he said I looked like a real life rocket raccoon. I was so worried it had burned my skin so bad that it was going to peel the next morning. It felt like what I would image a chemical peel to feel like. BOO! So when I e-mailed Freeman Beauty to let them know they might want to put a warning on the packaging, I got a lame standard response. They need to take a lesson in customer service.

Has anyone else had a horrible reaction to a beauty product?

No! I'm Not Dead

This is my first post in 11 days. The past two weeks have been busy. When I say busy, imagine running around your house with your hair on fire, while juggling lemons and having a viral infection. That's how busy these last 11 days have been. Let's go back to the beginning of the 11 days. Two week ago today, I went to work feeling ok. I woke up and my throat felt a little scratchy. Northern California has been experiencing crazy weather. It's extremely dry but everything is coming into bloom. I thought, ok it could just be allergies. As the day went on it started to feel like I was swallowing razor blades. I was sweating and hot (which I am NEVER). I get home at the end of the evening and lay down. The next day I woke up feeling so awful. So bad that I called into work for the first time ever. I've been at my new job for 9 months and I took my first sick day. Did I mention that I'm responsible for the Employee Recognition and Awards program? Well I am. I literally do the entire program. I get the nominations, make the programs, get the nominations scored, do the script... everything. Well the awards ceremony was in 48 hours.

So there I am laying in bed with a fever that won't break and water felt like it was going down like a razor blade. So I use my fancy insurance card and get in to see the doctor. Who did absolutely nothing for me except tell me to take ibuprofen and cough drops. Gee thanks Doc! So the next day goes by and I feel no better. I called in a second day in a row. On the third day, the day of the awards I knew I had to go in. I went in for 3 hours, set up and had to go home. I couldn't make it. It was bad. The weekend finally came and I still felt rough. Guess what weekend it was? The Britney Spears/ Mayweather fight weekend in Vegas.

After much debate we went ahead. Everything was booked. We had to go or we would just watch money go down the drain. An hour after we get into Vegas, Britney freaking cancels the concert. So we did the next best thing... we went to the Elvis Experience Show!

We also went the Elvis Experience which houses a lot of his personal artifacts. I was in hog heaven. Beezy even started to get into it!

We also went to the fight weigh in. We also saw a ton of celebrities...

While we were there we also hit up M&M World....

The entire trip, I couldn't breath out of my nose. I was freezing in the heat. I was also coughing up a storm. But I made it! We had a good time and I was back to work. Now we have been packing up a storm because we are in the last few days before moving. So wish us luck cause we have a LOT to pack!
