Secure All the Time

Recently, I was hacked and a lot of my information stolen. Living in a such technology savvy world, being hacked is one of the worst things that can happen. I had to spend so much energy on correcting things, changing accounts and getting access to my own information again. I wish I had heard of AVG before my hack. Have you heard of them?

AVG is dedicated to your online security. They protect devices, data and people. They are a security pioneer, offering a wide range of protection, performance and privacy solutions for consumers and businesses.  They are now a part of the Avast family of world leading digital security products, dedicated to keeping people around the world safe.

They even have a free antivirus app! Now I'm protected!

Think about it... devices, data and people... everything is connected. In our homes, our offices, and umpteen places in between, the Internet is almost always within arm's reach. We often don't think of protecting our phones besides using a passcode. Their AVG AntiVirus guards against viruses, spyware, thieves, & snoops.

Apart from being protected from viruses, my favorite thing is the Camera Trap!

See who's got your phone or tablet
Now you'll know if an annoying brother—or master thief—tries snooping on your phone or tablet. When anyone fails 3 times to unlock your device, Camera Trap will take a secret photo of them and then email that photo to you with the time and location of the incident. How cool is that?! You can find out who's trying to look at your phone and guess what? It's free with the app!

Another feature with the app that I love is that if something happens and I lose my phone, I can remotely find it, lock it and even blast an alarm at full volume to help me find it. But say that I lose it for good? I can remotely wipe all of my information from the phone.
Besides their free antivirus app, they offer several different amazing services. Check out AVG.com!

Kashmere Kollections

I have been a faithful follower of Kim Zolciak Biermann since she was on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Then when she left and got her own show, Don't Be Tardy for the Party I continued to watch. I also loved her wedding special that Bravo aired. I think she's hilarious and her entire family is over the top. When she announced a few months ago that she was coming out with a skincare line I was instantly interested in trying it.

For months I waited on updates of when it was launching and when I could finally get my hands on some of it. Over the holidays, they were offering a major discount code and I couldn't pass up a Spa Kit Bundle they were offering. Currently she has five products in her Kashmere line and I ordered three of them. I wanted to order one more but it was sold out when I placed my order.

The spa kit included three of her five products:

Luxurious Toning Oil
Firming Cream
Purifying Masque

Kim also has a silken body polish (this was the other item I wanted but was sold out) and a sunless tanning lotion. While I'm not one to use selfless tanner, I really did want to try the body polish which is a scrub. So I ordered my spa kit and waited. I don't know if it was because of the holidays or what but I had to wait several weeks to receive my order. I believe the Spa Kit was only scheduled to ship on certain dates but when it arrived it was perfect. It came in the cute packaging shown above and when I opened the box, I was ready to use!

First up was the purifying masque.
Since I had my miscarriage in July, my face and honesty my chest too has seen some breakouts. My face literally reverted back to when I was about 15 years old. I was getting constant heavy breakouts for weeks. So the face masque was something I was interested in trying because I was hoping that it would help. In the meantime, while I was waiting on this product to arrive, I started getting my breakouts under control thankfully!

How to use the masque. I had to read the directions because I have never been one to apply a liquid masque and wait for it to dry. I had always been one of those paper mask girls who would wear them for a few minutes, peel them off and be done. The Kashmere face masque, you apply an even layer to freshly cleansed skin. Once you apply the masque you let it try for about 10 minutes and then wash it off with warm water.

After my first use, I felt like my face had instantly smoother skin. The first week that you use the product you should use it several days in a row then taper off to once a week. I did this and noticed a major improvement in my face. My skin was softer after the first two uses. I would notice that my skin wasn't getting as dry as it had been and during the day my skin felt softer. I also noticed my pores didn't seem as large and my skin wasn't breaking out. The masque also didn't leave a horrible smell like some can do.

Second up was the firming lotion.
It goes on just like any other lotion you would use but after a few seconds this one begins to make your skin feel a little warm and tingly. I believe that's when you know it's working. I've been using it on my legs and on my stomach and it definitely makes it feel a little tighter. I've also put this on my arms but I haven't put it on my backside like I've read in some of the reviews I've seen. I'll keep putting it on my legs because I see the most benefit there and to my stomach.

Last but not least.. the toning oil.
This is by far my favorite product in the set. It smells amazing. I'm a person who can't handle scents in lotions that are too much fragrance but this toning oil is the perfect mix. It smells like a coconut/lime but not too coconut. It's really hard to describe but it just has that perfect mix. It goes on your skin easily and doesn't require you to wait forever before putting your clothing on top of it. It dries almost instantly once you rub it into your skin and gives it the most amazing sheen. I literally love this stuff and the bottle goes down really slowly! I've been lathering it on my arms, legs and hands every day for a few weeks and the amount in the bottle barely goes down. Seriously, I almost want to stockpile it incase something happens and the company doesn't make it.

I've heard that Kim has several new products in the works and I can't wait! Every time she has a LIVE chat or instagram I ask her about a night cream or face cream and she assures me and the world that their coming. I know that she's confirmed Shampoo/Conditioner and bath bombs. So until she officially puts them in her shop we just have to wait!

Have you tried Kashmere Kollections? What did you think of them?

All-Natural & Organic

As an adult, I am capable of what's going into my body. The foods I eat, the products I use on my hair and skin. The toothpaste I use, the lotion, etc. I like to use organic and natural products as much as possible. The problem with organic items is they can get pricey. When you have a child or a baby you have to decide what is best for them. When I was a child in the 1980s organic/natural items weren't that available and popularly used. Now the choices are endless. It can be hard to find ones that really are great to use. That's where Baby Mantra comes in....
Baby Mantra specializes in products that are made in the U.S.A. using all-natural and organic ingredients. They have an entire product line that features organic baby lotion, natural baby shampoo, oils, body wash and tons more! They even have Mommy body butter. They have so many products to choose from you can find all your baby needs in one place. They even have a great way to purchase items on a subscription so you get the products in a reoccurring way without having to go on the site to order every month- two months- etc. They also offer sets that you can give as gifts at baby showers and holidays.

One item that every needs is their baby mantra diaper rash cream.
Baby Mantra's diaper rash cream is 100% natural and contains no sulfates, parabens, gluten, dyes, artificial fragrances or phthalates. It also goes under rigorous testing of the highest standards to ensure that it has the number 1 rating on the EWG's Skin Deep Database. It is an extremely gentle product that any parent can feel good about placing on their baby's skin. If you compare Baby Mantra's diaper rash cream to some sold by other companies you'll see that other companies ingredients are known to cause irritation to the skin. Why not avoid this and give Baby Mantra a try?

I do a lot of research on what I put into my body and I'm sure that you do too. I don't have children yet but as the time grows closer that we look to start a family I find myself deciding what items would be best for babies and children. Well Baby Mantra has got my vote! Check them out and see if their products work for you! Remember it's all-natural and organic

Fifty Shades Darker

Warning: This post includes spoilers.

First I want to say, I love the books. Yes, they are horribly written. Yes, he's controlling. Yes, to all of it but I find them entertaining and it's fiction. To me it's entertaining so it's served it's purpose. So before we start getting all up in arms over the fact that she's poor and he's rich and controls her let's go with the fact that this isn't real life. It's a fiction story and movie. This movie seemed to veer away from the book in several instances and I want to discuss a few of them. Now with that said let's dive right in...

Changes from the book to movie

First, the start of the movie. Ana shows up to Jose's photography show alone and she acts as if she didn't know he was going to be there at all. In the book, Christian makes it clear he wants to take her to the show and they go there together. Ana doesn't understand if their getting back together, if he's just being nice or what but they go there together. For me, I didn't like that they didn't have them go there together. It makes it more confusing if they do go there together because your still trying to figure out if he wants to try again.

Jose. So he's Ana's friend we know that. We also know that Christian isn't a fan of him. They never show any of their interactions in this movie. Yes, he's there in the background but they don't explain why. He just  seems oddly out of place. Like he's a creepy friend just showing up at intimate moments in Ana and Christians lives. They should have tried to explain a little more why Jose was there from Portland on the night of the crash.

Ana and Leila. Ok, where to begin. In one scene we see Christian and Ana in bed together sleeping. They are clearly at her Seattle apartment. Ana wakes up for a brief moment in the night and finds Leila standing at the foot of her bed. Wrong! In the books Leila never goes into Ana's apartment until they face off with the gun. She's only ever seen in Christian's apartment. When we do get to the part where Ana finds herself with Leila in her apartment being held there at gunpoint things dramatically change.

In the book Leila only ever really seems to do any real harm to herself and the damage of property to Ana's car. In the movie when Leila is in Ana's apartment Leila fires the gun over Ana's head. At no time does this ever happen in the book. I felt like they tried to take Leila from a mentally ill women to an actual physcially dangerous person.

Things I wish were included

The first dance auction at Mrs. Grey's charity event.
Ana meeting Dr. Flynn (either time)
Mrs. Robinson trying to speak to Ana more at the ball.
Ethan- Kate's brother was completely omitted from the film.

I understand that they had to leave certain things out from the book. You can't have a movie that's 3 hours long. This isn't Gone With the Wind were talking about. I just wish they would have included a few more of these elements. I did think they covered Jack well and portrayed him in a way that set up his anger. My husband was a good sport and took me to the movie for Valentine's Day. Once we left he asked me why Jack was so mad so to someone who hadn't read the book they need a little bit more back history (which I'm sure we will get in the last movie). All in all I enjoyed the movie. I thought it was far better than the first!

Have you seen the newest movie? What did you think?

Archive Rentals

Last year when I was planning my wedding, I would go over every detail with a fine tooth comb. I wanted our wedding to have a specific look and feel to it. I had a budget that was very strict and I was nervous I wasn’t going to be able to get what I wanted and needed. I would search local stores and companies for items I could afford and would fit into our theme. I also had to use multiple vendors to provide the things I needed. I had to use three different vendors for the rentals, the event design and floral. If I would have only known about Archive Rentals! I would have been able to incorporate so many more design elements and at a more affordable cost. I wouldn’t have had to deal with so many vendors either. Have you heard of them? Let me lighten your next event, party or wedding stress…

Archive Rentals provides wedding furniture rentals at an affordable cost. They offer an unparalleled collection of furnishings and accessories for gatherings of any size. It doesn’t have to be a wedding to use them! Aside from their vintage rentals they also offer Commercial and Home Staging, Seasonal, Holiday, Short-Term and Long-Term Installations and floral design. You can have both floral, décor and design services, under one roof, and on one invoice. That gives you both the convenience and confidence for your next event, party or wedding. Let’s be honest… who wants to stress on the day of their event? No one! Using one place for everything takes all the stress away. You only have to deal with one company.
Archive Rentals has team members that specialize in areas that maximize your event. Have an event that’s more than one day? The owners Regina Crosby and Kista Jon specialize in luxury, mult-day events and luxury destination weddings. They’ve got you covered?
Don’t even know where to start planning? Need some ideas for your next event or party? Have no fear Archive Rentals can even give you some rustic event rental ideas to help speed along the process. They can save you stress, money and time. Give them a call for your next event needs. The photos of their work speaks to their talents and abilities.

PlumbTile

2015 was a big year for us. We built a house and got married all in the same year. We built our house from the ground up and every detail was done especially for this home. Now a little over a year later and our wedding complete, I’m thinking about our tile and fixtures. We didn’t have a lot of our fixtures put in when we had our house built because we knew we would choose ones our builder couldn’t provide. That’s where PlumbTile comes to the rescue! Have you heard of them?  They’ve got everything!

Since 1978, PlumbTile has provided products that reflect elegance, luxury, quality and functionality. They focus on Bath, Kitchen Fixtures, Designer Hardware, Tile & Stone and Lighting. If you are looking to do your bath and kitchen tile they have everything you could possible want in designs. They also offer Zucchetti faucets which are some of the coolest, designer faucets you could have in your home. They aren’t just faucets their designer features that people compliment and ask where you got them. I mean just look at them…

Those two are just the tip of the iceberg on what Zucchetti and PlumbTile have to offer. And before you ask it’s a low price guarantee. They also offer free shipping and no sales tax outside of California. You have nothing to worry about with PlumbTile because they are an authorized retailer.
We have been really thinking of redoing our floors. The tile that we chose for our downstairs was an upgrade but we aren’t in love with it. We have been thinking of doing a hardwood tile. PlumbTile has the perfect Porcelanosa tile it’s exactly what we have been looking for and it would look great in our home.

This is the Porcelanosa- Tavola Mogano Fno 8 inch x 47 inch tile. I just love the color! But I’m a little torn between it and the Porcelanosa- Little Oxford Acero 7 inch x 26 inch tile.
Which would you choose?
Before you start your next home project think of PlumbTile. They offer so many different products in different styles you won’t even need to leave your home to order.  It’s all just a few clicks or a phone call away!

September Stitch Fix

Another month, another box! My September Stitch Fix box is here! This is my 18th fix! I can't believe I've received 18 of these in the mail! This month around I asked my stylist to send me a few specific items. I wanted to see a jean jacket, some dark jeans, fall clothing and some ankle booties or black flats. I've now learned to be very specific in my stylist notes! Before I show you my fix here's a little information on how it works....

Start by filling out your style profile. You will complete questions on sizing, pricing, preferences, colors, etc. You can also write notes about likes and dislikes. Make sure to link your fashion board on Pinterest so your stylist can see what you like. This really helps! The notes to your stylist can really help determine what you get in your box. Take the time to write your stylist a note! I feel that's one of the most important things to getting the items you really want to see in your fixes.

Next, order your first fix! You will be charged a $20.00 styling fee however, if you keep any item [one or more] you will be credited back the $20.00 towards that purchase. I always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20.00 and getting nothing in return. You will receive 5 items (made up of clothing, jewelry, and handbags). I personally never want jewelry in my fix so I just always let my stylist know! If you refer a friend you get credit so your styling fee could potentially be free.

When your box arrives decide what you want to keep and what you want to send back (in the pre-paid postage envelope)! You have 3 business days  from receiving your fix to decide so use this time to try everything on and see what works best for you. Go out of your comfort zone! This is what makes Stitch Fix fun! It's like being a celebrity and getting clothing sent to you! I've chosen to receive monthly fixes but remember it is in no way a subscription service and you are able to decide when you want another fix, whether that be in 6 months or 2 years from your first fix! As always, if you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments section below. To save some cash on future fixes they offer an awesome referral package, if you use my referral link I'll get to bypass the styling fee at least once!

Let's get started! Remember - If you see anything that you like below, feel free to pin it and/or ask your stylist in the notes section of your next fix for something similar!

1. Dee Elle. Syrah Open Drape Cardigan. Size Small.

I love the dark color and the fabric is so soft. It feels like one of those channel blankets.

2. Éclair Pip Crew Neck Blouse. Size Small.

This top is almost identical to the one that came in last month's box. This top has a lot of detail from the pattern to the lace. I don't like the fact that it's see thru though... I had to wear a camisole underneath of it and sometimes I get frustrated with that during the day.

3. Leo & Nicole. Ardie Cable Front Pullover. Size Small.

I love this sweater. It's soft, warm and the perfect color blend.

4. Pistola. Isobel Skinny Jean. Size

I love these jeans. They are so soft they almost feel like a jegging but their not. The dark wash is also a shade that I don't have in my current wardrobe.

5. Nine West. Anastagia Flats. Black. Size 6.
There's a reason why I don't have them on. I'm a size 6 in shoes but this 6 wasn't fitting. They were too big and the straps were too large for my feet. I also felt like they were something I would see on a 6 year old in church. No thank you. These are a return for me.
So there's my September Stitch Fix. What would you keep and what would you return?

The Kylie Lip Kit and Gloss

For months on Instagram I had seen the craziness that accompanied the Kylie Jenner lip kits. Since Kylie's launch of Kylie Cosmetics her products have sold out within minutes of going online. In the beginning she came out with several shades of Matte lipstick with a matching lip pencil making up her Lip Kit. Once she had success with the Matte lip kits she launched new shades and other products such as glosses and metals. All selling out within minutes of being available online.

During this time, I continued to watch the frenzy of people trying to get their hands on these kits and the amount of money people were paying for them on resell sites. I was completely grossed out and fathomed at the fact that people were paying 30+ dollars for used lip kits. I mean really... If I'm paying 30 dollars for makeup it better be brand new in the box. Plus the idea of using a lip product that a stranger used... Gross! For me there is no way I'd use a strangers lip product what if they've got a big ol' sore on their lip and used it right on it?!? Gag!

In the midst of all this I stayed in the shadows and played with the idea of actually trying to get my hands on the shades I liked. I started watching and following her Kylie Cosmetic Instagram account and would get the alerts of restocks. So a few weeks ago when I got the alert that the restock was happening I pulled the trigger and bought a lip kit and gloss. Even with getting on the site almost instantly things were selling out fast! Two of the three shades I had been eyeing were Sold Out! But the number one gloss I wanted was in stock. Bam! Put that sucker in my cart and bought the lip kit of the third shade I had been eying. I figured I would give it a try and if I liked the quality I would know to purchase again in the future the other shades.

I got my two items purchased and went on with my day. I promptly got my confirmation email and thought nothing else of it until... the news hit a few hours later saying Kyle Cosmetics had received an F from the better business bureau. I started reading some of the news articles and some of the top complaints were their items came half full, the pencil missing in their kit, waiting weeks to receive their items etc. that make me a little worried considering I had just paid but I tried not to worry. A few days later I got another email saying my items had shipped and then I patiently waited for my items to arrive.
Once my items arrived I quickly tried them on. I'm also happy to report that my items came full and exactly what I ordered. First up was my Kylie Gloss that I purchased. I chose the shade So Cute.

From the images I had seen online this seemed to be a very neutral shade. Once out of the tube and on your lips it's very thick. The applicator is a brush and I wasn't prepared at how thick it would be. It also has a very strong smell. Not as in a floral or citrus smell, but a chemical makeup smell. The shade is nice and it does last several hours before needing a reapply. I would not repurchase this gloss in the future. It's too simple for the price tag and the smell for me really is a major flaw. I thought it was just ok and something you could find in an off brand at a Sephora.

Now for the lip kit. I had really thought this shade looked amazing in everyone's photos and reviews online. I purchased the Kylie Lip Kit in Dolce K.

Once I got the lip kit out and tried it on the shade it seemed way darker in real life. This shade is definitely not made for someone pale like me. It made me look entirely washed out or that I should be going to a 90s punk band concert in the actual 1990s. The matte goes on extremely easily and dries almost instantly. It does make your lips feel a little chalky.

I used the pencil first to outline my lips and with one use the pencil already needs to be sharpened. While this matte didn't smell as strong as the gloss it did have that chemical makeup smell to it. All in all I would not buy this shade ever again. I also now see why others have stuck theirs on resell websites as they probably didn't work out well for them and wanted their money back. For me the gloss was a win but nothing too exciting to ever buy again and the matte was just awful for me personally.

Oh the best part... Kylie Cosmetics has a no returns, no refunds, no exchange policy. Happy Shopping! That's my final thought on her line.

The Comedy Barn

The Comedy Barn Theater is nestled in the great Smokey Mountains of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Winner of the funniest show, this family friendly variety show features live music, magicians, ventriloquists, comedians and much more! Currently in it's 20th year of entertaining audiences with three show opens during the year: The Family Comedy Show, Comedy Critters Pet Show and A Christmas Show.

I recently had the opportunity to attend the Comedy Barn Christmas Show. The Show featured live Christmas music and dancing. Clog and tap dancers filled the stage with synchronicity and made me wish I had learned tap dancing as a kid. The cast members seemed happy to perform and enjoyment of the Christmas season. Their cute costumes and set also added to the fun!

The show also incorporated animals. These animals seemed highly trained and well treated. Their two handlers seemed like they genuinely care for the animals and their not just an animal but their pets. I personally have a soft spot for pigs so when two pigs came out and performed tricks I was highly impressed. I loved every minute of it! They also featured some dogs doing really cute tricks which included riding a scooter!

We've seen famous ventriloquists before but the Comedy Barn has a gem! Stephen Knowles is a highly skilled ventriloquists that can even make his puppets sing. He can do several voices, sing, blow bubbles while singing and have conversations with his puppet. He is highly entertaining and incorporates comedy into his routine. His personality comes across as genuine as he talks and interacts with the audience.

If you find yourself in Pigeon Forge, don't miss out on The Comedy Barn. They currently offer two shows nightly at 5:00 & 8:15 p.m. Tickets are reasonably priced and don't forget to ask about any discounts! They offer a full concession stand incase you get hungry or thirsty. They also offer tons of great stuffed animals and joke items. There is even some fudge incase you get a sweet tooth!

October Stitch Fix

Guess what showed up on my door step? My October Stitch Fix box! This month's box focused on keeping me warm through the fall and winter. My stylist Janet must have had a sixth sense because she pulled pieces that were similar to things I had been drooling over in catalogs and fashion boards. This month's fix has me really undecided on what to keep. I loved two of these sweaters the moment I pulled them out of the box. This is where you come in to play! Help me decide what to keep and what to send back. Before we get started on what's in my box and figuring out what to keep, here's how Stitch Fix works just incase you've been living without the internet.

Start by filling out your style profile. You will complete all sorts of questions on sizing, pricing, preferences, colors, etc. You can also write notes about likes and dislikes. Make sure to link your fashion board on Pinterest so your stylist can see what you like. This really helps! The notes to your stylist can really help determine what you get in your box. Take the time to write your stylist a note!

Next, order your first fix! Your credit card will be charged a $20.00 styling fee however, if you keep any item [one or more] you will be credited back the $20.00 towards that purchase.

You have 3 business days to decide so use this time to try everything on, see what you have in your closet that pairs well with it and don't be afraid to yes to something that you wouldn't normally.

1.  En Crème. Henny Cable Knit Pullover Sweater. Size Small

I loved this sweater the moment I pulled it out of the box. It's soft, cozy and can be styled with anything. I'm also loving the color. I feel like this is a sweater style that's been in style for decades and can be worn for decades more.

2. Le Lis. Shelten Dolman Pullover Sweater. Size Small

I had seen other Stitch Fixers receive this sweater in other color variations but never in this combo. I triple love it! It's warm, a little thick but super durable. I feel like this is a sweater I could have for years and it never go out of style. Then... I tried it on and feel like it makes me look 30 pounds heavier. Thoughts?

3. RD Style. Warren Airy Knit Cocoon Cardigan. Size Small
A perfect fall color! When I pulled it out of the box, I was like this is not a keeper but then I tried it on and can't decide. The holes in the sweater are a little bigger than I usually have in my knit cardigans. My fingers seemed to catch in it while trying to put it on and take it off. Thoughts? Keep it or send it back?

4. En Crème. Peppi Open Cardigan. Size Small

This cardigan is completely out of my comfort zone. The sweater blends color and design and is extremely thick and warm. Because of it's thickness, the sweater is very heavy. I can't decide if I like the short sleeves.

5. RD Style. Calandri Contrast Sleeve Poncho. Size Small

Perfect for the winter and super stylish this poncho can be worn loose or brought together with a belt. While it can't be worn over other clothing because of the built in sleeves you can style it for work or a night out on the town. It also has button details on the sides. Because the poncho is rather large when it folds on itself it hides the buttons.

What would you keep? What would you send back?
