Busy, Busy! Go, Go!

This is my favorite time of the year. I love Christmas. No... I really do love Christmas. I've had a tree up permanently since September of 2009. Yep, I'm that person.
This year has been like no others. I have been on the go non stop since Thanksgiving. Heck, I was on the go the whole week of Thanksgiving too. Since we ate the bird, I have literally wrapped presents, went Christmas shopping, decorated, cleaned up tinsel and had other commitments non stop. I am tired

Last week wasn't any different. I had that big job interview on Thursday. Thank you to everyone who wished me well. I successfully passed the interview portion and did the presentation as well. Hopefully, I'll hear news soon. They said I would know either way in two weeks. I got a lot of questions about California when I mentioned the interview and it getting me out there. Let me explain it better:
I already have an active transfer request in for California. I've had it in since March 1st. Yep, I've been waiting since March 1st. Frustrating yes, but there's nothing I can do but wait. There has to be an open space for me meaning that someone either has to retire, expire, quit or the powers above have to create another position for me to transfer into. I can tell you that in the months that I've been on the list I have moved up to #4 on the wait list (as of October). What the job I interviewed for means, if I would get it, that I would literally get to go instantly with starting that job. No more waiting, just packing! *crosses fingers*

Apart from the interview on Thursday, I stayed busy last week by going to the Chris Isaak concert. Love him! I've seen him before and briefly spoke with him so I knew it was going to be a good concert.

Then on my off day, Saturday, I decided to brave the mall and surrounding stores so I could finish my Christmas shopping. Oh my my! Apparently, I fell and hit my head at some point because only blunt trauma could make someone forget how crazy stores are this close to Christmas and on a weekend no doubt. Needless to say, 5 stores later and still 3 people to shop for and 5 items to pick up. At least I've got two more weeks!

I need a vacation! Speaking of vacation, we're trying to plan something for late January/early February. I want to go somewhere warm. Any suggestions? I'd like to go some place that I have never been to before. Suggest away!!!!!

Ummmm come down TO FL!!! How's that for warmth! ;) A cruise is really cheap in Jan/Feb too.... I did one last year for 209 a person. You'd have to fly down I guess which raises the costs but maybe not by too much? If you came to the Tampa or Naples area I would for sure pick you up at the airport. Just saying.

I thought I loved Christmas, but I think you have me beat! For a trip, I always like Mexico, it's not too far, the people are nice, the beaches are great, and the food/drinks are yummy! If you haven't been to Cabo, that would be fun!

XOXO

Glad you clarified lol I was wondering how you would be in Chas if you were in Cali ha! I so wish we could get together when you are in Chas like you said but right now it seems my nurse will be in my house every other day until the 22nd and on my off days I have strict orders to not be out and about around germies...hmmm maybe we can figure something out...I would love to meet you sweets! OMG where does your tree reside? In your living room all year lol...you crack me up girl! I love Christmas too! It looks like an elf came in here and sprinkled his/her magic lol...love it...

Fingers def crossed for you! LA is amazing, not that I am partial or anything ;) Will the bf make the move with you?!

And if you want to go somewhere awesome I suggest Riviera Maya, Mexico. It's down past Cancun and not popular yet so it's cheap and amazingly gorgeous. You can get great deals!

I know! Come to Cambodia! We can take you down to Sihanoukville, the resort town where they have awesome beaches. It's always warm in Cambodia!

Okay....a tree up since 2009? Tell me more. Is it kept in a spare room or out in the living room all year?

p.s. I'm with you JMO about the Italian kitchen designs. Way too modern and cold for me.

I love that you have a Christmas tree up all the time! Is it a theme tree or just a regularly decorated one? Fingers crossed for you on the job front - hope you hear good news soon.
