Down to the Wire

Yep that's me on the inside right now.

I've been a steaming hot mess. There's the packing, trying to close on the house, the fact that I'm suppose to leave this weekend to move across the country. Figuring out all of the financials, getting utilities turned on, booking hotels along the way...

The list goes on and on my friends.

I've also learned that not only am I already poor, I'll now be destitute once I move. Moving isn't cheap and moving across the country doesn't make it any less expensive. Also buying a house is not cheap at all.....

Like I might be so poor now that I can't have cable. As in I may not have internet either. Ek! Let's all keep our fingers crossed that I can figure it out. I feel like I might be scouting out an extra part time job once I get there.

Girl, sit down. Don't look at possible boxes, suitcases and such while you do that. Breathe. Think of palm trees, California, sunny weather pretty much all year long, blue skies, birds, and whatnot. Breathe again. Take a book and read, or go out and walk through your area. It may not resolve problems, but you got to relax and breathe. I had to do this so many times I learned it helps. Everything you need to do until you are here, until you are settled and all is overwhelming...but it will be done in time, and it will be great and fantastic for you. Take your time, but make sure you are enjoying your last couple of days at your old place. :)
As much as you still have to work for and think of (and heck, trust me here, it may not stop for a while but you will get through this) you got to go out too and relax a little. You deserve a break, too.

Hugs to you!!
And YES, you will be alright.
And YES, cry when you feel like it.

xoxo

Wow I'm behind the times! Congrats on the move and the year anniversary! I'm super excited for you!

As someone who has moved cross country twice and halfway across the country three times-- I can't think of a single piece of advice, other than hang on, it's going to be an adventure! :)

I feel your pain. Two days before I closed on my house, somehow I got hit with another 10K (on top of the $3,700 I was already expecting) in closing costs.

It's ok to cry! Let it out! It will all be OK. :-)

Oh good luck!!
Moving is so stressful and expensive. I hate it for those reasons!
Everything will work out! : )

It's so hard not having money! We are so poor from moving back and we don't have anything. We got rid of it all before we left and now we have no jobs to replace those things. Glad to know we're in the same boat together. Don't worry, it will work out. It would suck not having cable and internet, but eventually the costs of moving will go away and hopefully the budget will get better.
