It Is What It Is

This saying has been one of my favorites for quite some time. Lately, I've found myself saying it a lot more. Maybe I'm adapting to the California laid back attitude? Maybe I could just be realizing that you can't control everything in life. You just have to roll with the punches and ride the waves of life's up and downs.

It is what it is.... it's like brushing it off. It's saying that it doesn't matter. It's telling the world and putting it out into the universe that it simply is what it is. It's also become my saying for when I don't have the answer to a life question or an outcome that has happened.

Rejection? It is what it is.
Promotions? It is what it is.
People coming and going in life? It is what it is.
Paying bills? It is what it is.
Mowing the grass? It is what it is.

I like it. I'm going to keep on saying it. What does the saying mean to you?

Oh man, I feel like I'm too much of a control freak to adopt that saying!

I love this saying, I say it all the time. if something goes wrong- it makes you feel better. if something goes right- it reminds you to be humble.

I like it. That's the philosophy I try to have to, Eh, things will happen how they're supposed to happen at that point in time so you just gotta live with it.

To me it just kind of means to look at things rationally and separate from your being.

Just seeing the reality of situation a little more clearly then asking "why did this happen to MEEEEEE"

To be perfectly honest, it kinda reminds me of Mama June from Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. hehehe. But ultimately, I think embracing this attitude could make life easier for all of us!

I like this meaning. It is clearly what it is. To me it simply means, that whatever happens or happened is part of what we all have to go through. There's a reason for why something happens, and why something else doesn't happen. :)

It is what it is. :)
