Theater Thursday

It's the first Thursday in December so you know what that means? It's Theater Thursday... the Christmas Edition! This is my favorite time of the year and my favorite movies! The first movie in the Theater Thursday Christmas edition is none other than... Scrooged!

This version of Scooged isn't like the other classics that you've seen. This one stars Bill Murray as a television executive named Frank who's in charge of putting on a live version of A Christmas Carol. On the night of the live show, he starts to feel the pressure of trying to get the show to go off without a hitch. Not only is he feeling the pressure from the network, he's starting to feel the pressure from people around him. He's starting to come to grips with the fact that no one really likes him. His boss even hired him an assistant that's basically out to get his job.

That's when he's visited by his mentor which just so happens to be a ghosts. He explains the Ghosts of Christmas past will be paying him a visit in the night. He'll need to start making a lot of changes if he's going to keep on living and have a positive outcome. When the first ghost appears he is taken back to his childhood. He visits his parents and sees the relationship he use to have with his brother. As the ghosts turn up he visits different phases in his life.

If you have never seen this twist on the Christmas classic you need to get out and watch it! Bill Murray will not disappoint. The ghosts are also pretty good too!
