Five First World Problem Questions

I'm going to go ahead and just say it. This entire post is going to relate to my wedding.

I was brushing my teeth this morning and I thought, "I need my teeth to get way whiter for the wedding" so I started to think what's the best whitening toothpaste. Then that made me start to think of other things that I've been thinking about for the wedding...

1. A whitening toothpaste.

Which whitening toothpaste do you think works the best? When I was younger I use to use to the Crest whitening strips but they started bothering me after a few uses. I switched to the Crest Whitening toothpaste but once I ran out I just never bought it again. So my question is which one do you think is the best whitening toothpaste out there? Thoughts?

2. Reslin Injections.

I apparently laugh and smile a lot. I've started to get a line on one side of my mouth that is a laugh line. I put lotion on my face in the mornings. I put primer and make up on and it's still getting in that line. I really want to get a reslin injection but Beezy thinks that is insane. So I need an alternative. My skin is very sensitive and breaks out so easily. I tried Arbonne and it broke my face out almost immediately after touching it. I use a lot of Neutrogena products so if you know of something let me know. I need it.

3. Make up for the wedding.

I always do my own make up. I've only had my make up done by one person and it was awful. I went to a MAC make up store to have them do my make up. I came out looking like a snow beast. Now I love MAC make up but the girl working there must have been use to painting houses instead of faces. Now I have to figure out who I'm going to have do my wedding day make up. The most important day of my life. I can't be looking like that snow beast. So now the hunt is on to find someone. I thought about doing my own but I don't want to the stress of having to do my own while having someone else do my hair etc. How much is a good price for wedding day make up? Thoughts?

4. Working out.

Everyday I wake up knowing that I should work out. I've been wearing the new fitbit that I got since Christmas and I've only hit 10,000 steps three times. Yep. Not kidding. I've done better this week though and even did a few sit ups. I've hit the 10,000 steps twice this week alone. I'm trying to get it together. I've also been doing better with my eating habits. I'm in this weird window of weight since I already have my dress. I can't lose more than 1o pounds which is what I'm shooting for but then on the other side of scale I can't gain more than 5 because they can't add fabric to it. So I've stepped up my game on this losing weight thing. It's definitely not as easy as it was when I was younger.

5. Wonky Hair.

Lately, one side of my hair won't hold a curl. I've never had this problem before but in the last year anytime I've went to curl my hair one side will look great and the other side doesn't want to keep holding the curl. Does anyone know why this is? With my engagement photos coming up and other important life events, I need to figure out why this is happening. I haven't been using any odd products. I haven't had a Brazilian blow out. Does anyone know what can fix this?

I actually caved for my wedding and got my teeth bleached at the dentist for a costly $500. Worth it, yes but pricy let me tell you.

Advice for your big day: DEFINTELY try out make up looks for your day BEFORE the actual day. That way you won't look like you're wearing a face mask or a whore. ( I say that with love, btw, not trying to be offensive lol). Ask any friends or go to some hair salons in your area to see if they can recommend anyone. Preferably if you know someone that's worked with a make up artist and is happy with the results.

And if it makes you feel any better, I think everyone has a wonky side from the other. Have you tried hair spraying it first, then curling to see if that will hold???

Anyways, came across you from Authentic Bloggers. Nice to meet you, I'm Lindsay. :)

So this sounds odd but none of the toothpastes that say they may make your teeth whiter are really working. Rembrandt kind of worked but it's also costly. What has worked for me most, and this is now the odd part...is oil pulling. My teeth are shinier and slightly whiter, even after using it for less than one week. Crazy. Plus, it's easy and if you have coconut oil at home I'd give it a try. ;)

Definitely have a makeup trial done. It's important to know that the person doing your makeup will do it the way you like. Tell them you like the more natural look and a good makeup artist should understand that. I also LOVE airbrush makeup so if you can find someone to do that then you'll be set!

Also. Join a gym and check into your insurance to see if they'll pay for it if you go a certain number of times a month. Our insurance covers almost our whole gym membership BUT we have to go 12 times a month each. That forces me to go because I definitely don't want to pay $60. Insurance is PAYING me to go to the gym!

What Fitbit do you have, I want one!

Watch out for some whitening toothpastes. I used the Colgate red tube (not sure if you get it) and it burned my lips and made them swell.

I've used gel strips and they help if you do it for several weeks at a time.

I use Colgate sensitive whitening toothpaste but I don't know how much it actually whitens my teeth. I really like the whitening mouth wash for whitening teeth, my old dentist recommended it. Also gargling diluted hydrogen peroxide works to whiten teeth but feels so weird. Its supposed to be done for infections and preventing infections when you've got a cut in your mouth but . . . it also whitens and it probably the active ingredient in the whitening mouth wash.

I did my own make up for my wedding. I went to Sephora and used it as an opportunity to try a bunch of new stuff I was interested in and I just ended up using what I ended up liking the best. My husband doesn't like it when I wear a lot of make up though so I kept my look very simple.

I also was so worried about getting to big for my wedding dress. I did a couch to 5k program using an app on my phone for pacing and I ended up getting so much smaller that I had to have alterations done even though my dress had fit perfectly off the rack when I got it. :( If you have an iPhone, I really like the Big Sky fitness apps, they made the 5k trainer app I used and they have an app that helps you do 200 sit-ups and some for push ups and squats as well.

If I could, I would totally give you some of my curls for your hair!
