Two Netflix Shows You Need To Watch

We have Direct TV in our house and usually there is no problem finding something to watch. We've got movies, sports, television shows or awards to pick from. We have one of the packages that gives us almost every channel. Soon our fall television shows will be back and our DVR will be filling up with things to watch. Since they haven't started back up yet we've been spending a lot of time watching shows on Netflix. We devoured the first season of this show and we were left with a huge cliffhanger.

This show is such a mix of comedy and drama. Sometimes you don't know if you should laugh or feel sorry for them. Lilly Tomlin and Jane Fonda are comedian classics. I loved them in 9 to 5 together so that's why we really gave this show a shot. We watched the first episode and I was instantly hooked. Martin Sheen can do no wrong in my eyes because The West Wing was one of my all time favorite shows. He's great acting on screen with the comedy legends. So what's this show about? Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lilly Tomlin) have known each other for the last 20 years. They haven't necessarily been friends and they couldn't be anymore different in personality. However, their husbands have been friends and law partners for more than two decades now so they've had to at least tolerate each other. When the ladies are taken to dinner together by their husbands their in for the shock of their lifetime. Their husbands are leaving them... but for who? Watch and find out!

Be warned. Season 2 won't be out until 2016 so you will be sitting there with me waiting to find out what happens at the end of season 1! Also be warned this is an adult show. It's not for the kids.

The second show you need to be watching is one that I was late to the party on, House of Cards.

I may have been late to the party on this show but I've watched all three seasons available in 3 weekends. I just finished season 3 and can't believe how it ended. I can't wait to see what Frank Underwood has up his sleeve next season. Never heard of House of Cards? Starting in season 1 it follows Frank Underwood, House Majority Whip and his wife CEO of the Clean Water Initiative. He helped get the President elected and he's repaid by being passed over on the position he wanted... Secretary of State. Now he's out to seek his revenge on those who did him wrong in Washington. Along the way we see Congressmen behaving badly, friends betraying friends and reporters trying to get the scoop.

This show totally took over my weekends. It's intriguing and you want to know what happens next. Plus Frank Underwood scares me and I'm an adult! If you aren't watching these two shows then you need to get Netflix and start watching pronto.

I love Netflix Originals. I recommend Sense8 all the time. That show blew me away and I can't wait until Season 2.

LOVE House of Cards! I started it a while ago, and couldn't get into the first episode right away. I re-watched, then got hooked and binge watched the whole first season. Now, I'm all caught up. We don't have cable, just Netflix, so I'll try the other show too. You should try Bloodline....so good!

I love House of Cards! I watched the original version back in Britain in the early 90s so it's been great to see the more modern American version as well - makes you wonder how true to life they are!

LOVE House of Cards. I mean, come on...Kevin Spacey is amazing!! :)
Grace and Frankie kept me entertained while I was stranded in Europe this summer. It kept me smiling and distracted. I think I gotta watch this again. ;) Netflix rocks!
