July Stitch Fix

Another month, another box! My July Stitch Fix box is here! This month around I asked my stylist to send me clothing that had a summer feel but could transition into fall. I did ask for a kimono but apparently that wasn't in the cards. I've now learned to be very specific in my stylist notes! This box though, I was a little disappointed in how they didn't listen to my real wants and my stylist seemed to just pick things she would like...

So how does Stitch Fix work?

Start by filling out your style profile. You will complete questions on sizing, pricing, preferences, colors, etc. You can also write notes about likes and dislikes. Make sure to link your fashion board on Pinterest so your stylist can see what you like. This really helps! The notes to your stylist can really help determine what you get in your box. Take the time to write your stylist a note! I feel that's one of the most important things to getting the items you really want to see in your fixes.

Next, order your first fix! You will be charged a $20.00 styling fee however, if you keep any item [one or more] you will be credited back the $20.00 towards that purchase. I always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20.00 and getting nothing in return. You will receive 5 items (made up of clothing, jewelry, and handbags). I personally never want jewelry in my fix so I just always let my stylist know! If you refer a friend you get credit so your styling fee could potentially be free.

When your box arrives decide what you want to keep and what you want to send back (in the pre-paid postage envelope)! You have 3 business days  from receiving your fix to decide so use this time to try everything on and see what works best for you. Go out of your comfort zone! 

This is what makes Stitch Fix fun! It's like being a celebrity and getting clothing sent to you! I've chosen to receive monthly fixes but remember it is in no way a subscription service and you are able to decide when you want another fix, whether that be in 6 months or 2 years from your first fix! 1. Anita Printed Skinny Pant. Liverpool. Size 6 Petite.

These pants are more like a jegging. I'm not too sold on the print because I feel like their very summery and can't be worn any other time of the year.

2. Barriere Front Pocket Blouse. Blaque Label. Size Small.

I get that this style of top is suppose to be a little loose but this was like wearing a trash bag. I think I probably needed an X-Small. The fabric wasn't soft and the pockets were a nice touch on the sides. I love when clothing is practical and has pockets. It gives me somewhere to hold my phone.

3. Selfridge Cowl Neck Knit Top. 41Hawthorn. Size Small.

I love this sweater. It's soft, not too thick and the sleeves are the perfect length. It has a built in shirt but for me it's a little low and I would need to always wear a tank top underneath.

4. Walt Skirt. 41Hawthorn. Size Medium.

The print immediately hurt my eyes once I took it out of the box. I love Black & White though and I was hoping I'd really like this skirt but I don't. The fabric is thick and scratchy but not wool. The zipper sticks and it's brand new. It was also one size too big.

5. Hendrix V-Neck Blouse. 41Hawthorn. Size Small.

This blouse is cute, lightweight and I like the design. Again, this is another top that would always require another shirt underneath. However, this shirt is way over priced for what it is and will be going back.
