Here I Come California

I'm headed to California!

San Francisco

Sacramento

When I made the announcement the other day on twitter that I was headed to California in just a few days, I was overwhelmed with the question, "Is this your move?!"

To answer that question, that would be no. I'm still waiting for my move. It's getting closer and closer. That's all I can say about my move right now. Just know that when I'm getting ready to leave, I will post about it. For now, this is just a trip to the state I love.

I'm going to be in Sacramento and San Francisco. I've already got tickets to tour Alcatraz and my breakfast location picked out. Any suggestions on what to do for the rest of the day in S.F?

Also suggestions on what to see/eat/hang out at in Sacramento would greatly be appreciated!

I loooovvveee SF. Spend some time in Fisherman's Wharf. There's a pier with some sea lions that are really fun to watch. Take the ferry to Sausalito and just walk around. Ghiradelli Square is fun to watch them make the chocolate. Golden Gate Bridge. Coit Tower. And good heavens there is some good food in that town. This is a favorite restaurant for brunch. http://www.squatandgobble.com/
And if you're outdoorsy, visit Muir Woods!
That should fill a day or two. :)

Are you taking the Alcatraz/Angel Island tour? Angel Island is the west's equivalent to Ellis Island. Hmm Fisherman's Warf of course for good food. If you can get up to Twin Peaks it's a great view!

As far as Sac, I just enjoyed exploring Old Town.

Have fun!!

I just got back from San Francisco and loved every second of it!! I wish I had more free time to tour Alcatraz, because I really wanted to do that! I would definitely walk across the bridge and explore the Wharf. I was just excited to be walking around in cool weather because it's so dang hot here in Atlanta! Have fun!!!

I know you're already there, but I did a post about this. Go to the rock garden by the Sac Zoo. Zoo sucks, garden is awesome!
