Sacramento, California!

Once I got back from San Francisco I spent the rest of our time in Sacramento, California. Saturday morning I got up and headed over to the 33rd Street Bistro. Let me just tell you right now... the food is amazing. If you're ever in Sac, I totally recommend this place for breakfast.
While at the 33rd Street Bistro, I got to meet fellow blogger Hutch. She was super sweet and really funny. I love her blog but she's even cooler in person. I was so glad that I got to meet her.

After I left the Bistro, I did a little vintage store shopping, ended up hitting three places and I'd have to say out of all of them that, The Antique Company was my favorite! I got some really great stuff there including an oversize vase and some drink ware.

Since the State Fair was going on while I was in town I decided to head over and join in the fun. The place was huge! They had so many rides and food vendors it was overwhelming. With the heat getting into the high 80's and low 90's it wiped me out pretty quick.

I rode a few rides and went down my favorite... the magic carpet, got some cool drinks, took fun photos and then peaced out. On the way back to the house, I hit up my favorite food market, Trader Joes. If you've never had their butter waffers... don't walk but run to the nearest TJ and get a box. Pure Heaven.
Once I rested up a little bit  I made my way over to the State Capitol. I was really impressed with it. It seemed really nice. Even though he's turned into a total sleeze, I wish Arnold would have been around!

I also headed over to check out Old Sacramento. I had been hearing a lot of things about it and was told I should check it out. Can I just say, this is one of those places that I feel is too over hyped. It was mainly just a shopping area that happened to be where the old trains use to come in. Maybe it was because I didn't go into the museum, either way I was glad I didn't dedicate a lot of our time to it.

The time in Sacramento was great, the weather was fabulous and I highly recommend everyone visiting the city!

So glad you enjoyed 33rd Street Bistro...hopefully next time I'll make it for the food part (Yes, I'm assuming there will be a next time) :)

I agree on Old Sac, but they do have some great restaurants so we go more for that and the bars than for walking around. Or for Evangeline's if we need something wacky for a party/costume.

Sounds like you had a great time. I think anytime you can fit in some vintage shopping in a new city is a fantastic trip already!
