April Stitch Fix

Another month, another box! My April Stitch Fix box is here! This month around I asked my stylist to send me clothing that had a 1970's vibe and bohemian chic. I also told my stylist that I would like to see high waist sailor pants. I mentioned my love of wedges since they started doing shoes. I had seen a ton of shoes people were getting and loved the majority of them. Well my stylist must have lost my note because I got nothing 70's vibe and I live in California and got Alaskan sweaters. My box was also filled with blue. I emailed Stitch Fix and got a response that made me feel better and they've made special notes on my account for my next fix.

So how does Stitch Fix work?

Start by filling out your style profile. You will complete questions on sizing, pricing, preferences, colors, etc. You can also write notes about likes and dislikes. Make sure to link your fashion board on Pinterest so your stylist can see what you like. This really helps! The notes to your stylist can really help determine what you get in your box. Take the time to write your stylist a note! I feel that's one of the most important things to getting the items you really want to see in your fixes.

Next, order your first fix! You will be charged a $20.00 styling fee however, if you keep any item [one or more] you will be credited back the $20.00 towards that purchase. I always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20.00 and getting nothing in return. You will receive 5 items (made up of clothing, jewelry, and handbags). I personally never want jewelry in my fix so I just always let my stylist know! If you refer a friend you get credit so your styling fee could potentially be free.

When your box arrives decide what you want to keep and what you want to send back (in the pre-paid postage envelope)! You have 3 business days  from receiving your fix to decide so use this time to try everything on and see what works best for you. Go out of your comfort zone!

This is what makes Stitch Fix fun! It's like being a celebrity and getting clothing sent to you! I've chosen to receive monthly fixes but remember it is in no way a subscription service and you are able to decide when you want another fix, whether that be in 6 months or 2 years from your first fix! As always, if you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments section below. To save some cash on future fixes they offer an awesome referral package, if you use my referral link I'll get to bypass the styling fee at least once!

Let's get started! Remember - If you see anything that you like below, feel free to pin it and/or ask your stylist in the notes section of your next fix for something similar!

1. Lizzy Colorblock Striped Sweater. 41Hawthorn.

I really like the fabric of this sweater. It's soft and the stripes and colors are right up my alley.

2. Emer Printed Straight Leg Pant. Margaret M.

I like that this pants are bold and bright. They weren't very thick so they would be great during the summer to dress up for work.

3. Caspian Scallop Trim Cardigan. Skies Are Blue.

I like the navy color of this sweater but that's all I like about it. It's made of a really rough wool and the crochet on it looks like something I could have crafted in the dark. The sleeves were very really long. It just isn't something that I would get a lot of wear out of.

4. Renesme Jersey Faux Wrap Dress. 41Hawthorne.

I thought the colors were bright and I really like that. The design was also nice but I just wasn't feeling it. For a jersey dress it was very heavy. I also thought the price tag was a little over what it really should sell for. This isn't a DVF wrap dress.

5. Rudey Leopard Lace Up Heels. Sol Sana

I just think these shoes are ridiculous. Maybe that's just me? I love leopard print but this is just a huge no for me. I don't have the ankles to have the tie ups work for me. Also these are made of real fur and that's a huge NO for me. I did like the wooden heel. I also thought they were WAY over priced for the quality. Can you believe these are $170.00?? Well their priced at that.

So what would you keep and what would you send back?

I hear so much about stitch fix! I just don't think I'm ready to jump on just yet.

I do love the sweater though, that's my kind of vibe. I also like those pants. I'm not a big fan of the shoes because they don't look comfortable but if they are I would keep them.

I think the shoes look pretty ridiculous, too. I can imagine someone with a quirky sense of style really pulling them off...but as a normal pair of shoes that are going to get a lot of use to offset the steep price tag....no. I do really like that first sweater, although it sounds inappropriate for your warmer climate!
