This week's featured movie is, Bullitt.
Bullitt stars Steve McQueen as Frank Bullitt, a San Francisco Police lieutenant who's put in charge of protecting a witness, Johnny Ross who's about to give testimony against a mafia boss. Bullitt is in charge of protecting him for 48 hours and has been given full permission to do whatever it takes to keep him safe with no questions asked.
When an attempt to kill Johnny comes early on, Frank vows to avenge the deaths of his fellow officers by catching the hitman and who hired him. Thankfully, Bullitt and Johnny survive the first attempt on their lives and set out to make it through the weekend. Frank faces many challenges and begins to wonder if he's getting the full story about his orders to protect Johnny. He also begins to wonder who he can really trust.
As the stakes get higher and higher, Frank realizes that he's going to have to continue moving Johnny around and take the heat for it if his plan fails.
This movie is a 1960's classic and is set entirely in San Francisco with some great shots of the bay area. If you've never seen this classic film it's definitely a must see.

Okay sounds like I need to see it.
I have so many blogger friends in SF that I feel like I should watch this movie just based on that! (and your recommendation, of course!)
