Hog Wild

That's what happened when I went into the Book Warehouse, while I was in Pigeon Forge last week. I actually made two trips to it while we were there.Haha!
I ended up walking out of there with 17 books. Recently, I've been reading a lot and I thought this would be a great time to stock up on future reads. Before I had left for the trip, I recently fell in love with a new author that I just discovered... Sherryl Woods. If you haven't read any of her books, I highly suggest you go to the nearest bookstore. I was hoping to find some of her books at the Warehouse but sadly, I only found 3. However, 3 is better than none. They were the following:

Until a few months ago, I had never been into Nicholas Sparks books but the ones I've read (minus Dear John), I've loved. So when I saw this one I had to pick it up:
I'm also taking a chance on an author I've never read before, Donna Leon. Have you read any of her books? I chose this one to start with, hopefully it'll be good!
After walking the isle's of murder, mystery and novels, I found a really cute series of brides books. Nope, not the kind of books you use to plan weddings but stories of women getting married in different times, different states and under different circumstances. It looked really cute so I thought I'd give them a try. They had a few different collections but I went with:

A military novel that takes place at Christmas:
The next 2 books are historical fiction. They take place in the 1800's and follow the lives of different women.
The last book I bought, is my current read book. If you're curious as to what I've finished reading, I've got my full 2010 list placed on my right sidebar. So, I don't know about you but I think I'm set for awhile on the book front. Any questions on the books... just ask!

The last books(with the 4 novels or novellas in them) are some of my favorites! I have several of the "bride" books and then some of the "state" ones. :)
Happy reading!

I think that Nicholas Sparks book is the only one of his I've read and it was pretty good, just not good enough for me to want to go out and buy more of his books.
I'd like to know more about the Sherryl Woods books... what are they about?

I love that you got wedding books I love reading about how other women plan their weddings...

Someone should arrange a book swap.. I think that would be fun, I read about 3 books a month sometimes more if time permits...

Donna Leon's supposed to be pretty good. They started making TV-movies of her books over here so they're popular too.
You gave me some spring/summer book ideas...will hopefully find time to hit some cool bookstores and explore new reads. :D

Happy reading to all of us. :D

xoxo

I'm the same way! I can't walk out of a bookstore without at least several bags full!

I don't think I've read any of those! And that's a little impressive considering how much I read. I think out of everything you bought I'm most curious about the wedding books. I'm sure I'd love to read a book called California Brides

The Choice is definitely a good one of his. Why didn't you like Dear John? I have a love/hate relationship with that book. haha My ex is in the Army & parts of the book were so similar to us/our relationship/my life now that it's uncanny. So...kind of makes me cringe because of the hurt & heartbreak that I experienced, but at the same time I think it's a good story and I like it for the sweet moments too. Bittersweet, all in all. Did you see the movie? Gosh, they butchered it in my opinion!! haha
