Theater Thursday

This week's Theater Thursday featured movie is, Toy Soldiers

Made in 1991, Toy Soldiers stars Sean Austin as Billy Tepper, one of the many students at the Regis School. The Regis is an all male boarding school and is home to many rebellious and previously expelled boarding school boys. Unfortunately for the Regis boy's many of their parents are well known folks and have prominent jobs, which is now the cause of trouble for them.

When a Columbian drug kingpin is placed behind bars, his terrorist son takes the Regis School hostage in the hopes of freeing his father. The Regis School is home to the district judge's son but once he arrives realizes that his son has already been moved. Seeing the opportunity to still reach his goal he decides to hold the entire school under siege until his demand of his father's release.

What he doesn't know is that this rag tag team of boys isn't so willing to be held hostage. The boys ban together to fight for freedom. In the mean time, on the outside their parents are using all of their powers to get their individual children out.

This has an all star cast of people who later when on to become very famous. If you haven't see this movie, go out and get it!

That seems like a cool concept for a movie for sure.

I havent seen it but I think it sounds good! Love that you do these! I often joke that I was deprived from movies when I was a kid b/c I was an only child and we didnt have cable. Okay, so.. I didnt have an older bro or sis to intro me to fun movies like Ferris Bueller, etc... And I didnt have cable to catch it randomly on some marathon..haha.. So, I find that I'm watching stuff later in life and digging it!
