Walk the Walk, Talk the Talk.

Walk the walk, talk the talk.
I was born in 1984. That makes me 27 years old, maybe it's my age group or maybe it's just me and the majority of my friends but I firmly believe in and back the statement up of, Walk the walk, talk to the talk.

If you're not friends with someone, just say it. Don't go behind people's backs and trash talk them while being nice to their face. That isn't walking the walk and talking the talk. Telling the person that you don't like them and that your not friends then saying nothing about them. That's walking the walk and talking the talk.

Saying your going to get something done. Then going and getting it done. That's walking the walk and talking the talk.

Getting food poisoning at a Rax in 1994 then saying you'll never eat there again. Then never eating there again. That's walking the walk and talking the talk.

I've noticed a lot lately that young people aka early 20 somethings and late teens have not learned this concept. Maybe they'd have less drama or a little less angst in their lives if they grasped it. As Elvis once said, "Need a little less conversation, a little more action."

AMEN! I love this post. Most of my friends subscribe to this as well, but there are a few that definitely say one thing and do another - and we're 31!

Ugh, welcome to my world. I work with a lot of early 20 somethings and some of the things they do is just ridiculous. They don't back up anything they say or do. Totally obnoxious.

The friends bit is something that I've sadly been on the receiving end of! I make distinctions between friends and acquaintances and I'm sorry but that's just how it is! :)

I find this most of all in the work place - say you're going to do something do it! grr.

On a totally random note, I started laughing when you mentioned Rax! We didn't have one near me when I was growing up, and I loved going there when I went to visit my Aunt and Uncle. I guess they don't have them anymore? Thanks for the memory!

I SO agree with you. I have a few girl friends who have DEFINITELY not grasped this concept.

Amen Sister! I need to work on that too. Even if it isn't as drastic like smack talking I still do it in little ways!
