The Year of Reading Continues On

I'm really trying to make my goal of reading 50 books a reality this year! If you missed my goal or any of my reviews on the books I've read so far, you can find them here .

It's only the beginning of February and I've already read seven books! Only 43 to go! I just finished reading...
The Vampire Diaries: Stefan's Diaries Vol. 5 The Asylum by L.J. Smith.

I started reading The Vampire Diaries Series before the television show ever began. Since the show has came onto the air, there has been several new books hit the store shelves and Stefan's Diaries is one of them. This book is the fifth one in the series and it begins where the fourth one left off.

Stefan Salvatore and his brother Damon are on the run in England. Damon is being accused of being the famous killer, Jack the Ripper. The city of London is scared and they are terrified of going out once darkness falls. Stefan and Damon know otherwise and know who the real ripper is... another vampire. Not only is the vampire wreaking havoc on London, he's wreaking havoc on the Salvatore brothers.

Damon is being forced to leave his charade as the life of a count to hide underground in what will be the city's new subway tunnels. His fragile relationship with his brother is put to the test once again. In confined quarters with no money, no way of feeding and the entire city on the look out for him, times don't seem great. Will the brothers be able to keep the peace between them long enough to bring justice to the real Jack the Ripper? Or will Damon take the fall for all the young girls' murders?

If you've never read any of this series... do! Start at the beginning though! You don't want to be left behind or confused!
