Theater Thursday

It's Thursday and that can only mean one thing around here... it's Theater Thursday! This week's featured movie is, The Jewel of the Nile.

The Jewel of the Nile is the sequel to Romancing the Stone. This time Joan (Kathleen Turner) and Jack (Michael Douglas) are back together and involved in another adventure. While Joan is struggling writing her latest novel, Jack has been enjoying the fruits of their labor in Columbia. It all may seem well but when an Arabic king/leader wants Joan to come to his country to write his biography everything begins to go haywire.

Jack's prized boat is blown up and he realizes that Joan my be in trouble. In the mean time, Joan and Jack will have to face an old adversary in a way they thought they never would have to. In a new climate and on the hunt for the jewel of the nile, Jack and Joan may be able to rekindle a little romance that was lost over time and after the thrill of the hunt. However, will they get out with their lives? Or will they have finally got involved in one too many dangerous situations?

Watch this movie! It's a great sequel to a classic movie that has remained a goodie over time.
