Our third stop on the Birthday tour was the Francis Ford Coppola Winery. Contrary to popular belief this winery is not in Napa. The FFC is actually located north of Napa in a town called Geyserville. From Sacramento it's about 2.5 hours away.
As soon as you pull up into the gates you are greeted with vines on both sides of the driveway.
Once inside the property we were ready to tour the place and see all of the famous movie memorabilia that we had heard so much about from their website. We had called ahead to see if we needed to make reservations but we were told by a representative that it wasn't needed. We had to figure out where to go and where to start but once inside we started looking for all of the fun movie stuff!
We did see his awards for the God Father movies!
Beezy was excited to see the desk from the movie. He loves the God Father movies. While shockingly enough my mom and I have never seen those movies.
Once we saw some of the movie things we went outside to look at the vineyard.
They had some grapes on them too...
While we were a little disappointed in the selection of movie memorabilia (we thought there could have been more), we didn't taste while we were here. My mom and had never been to a winery before so she didn't know what to expect. Beezy and I however, were really disappointed in FFC. There wasn't a real tour to take. You couldn't walk in any of the vineyard and they seemed to only focus on their restaurant and pool. They had a large pool but we hadn't came there for swimming so we didn't have our bathing suits. However, I hear from a fellow Sacramento blogger that the pool and cabana service is nice. To me the place seemed a little snobby.
While I'm glad I went there and can say I've been there, I don't think I'll be going back again anytime soon unless they'd comp me a pool day.

What a bummer that you couldn't actually visit the vineyard! We did a tour at Robert Mondavi when we were in Napa, and it was a really cool experience!
I'm really bummed you had a bad experience, my favorite sparkling wine comes from there.
