Theater Thursday & A Little Story

It's Thursday and that can only mean one thing... it's Theater Thursday! Since Halloween is over and the next holiday is Thanksgiving this week's featured movie is, The Great Outdoors.

This classic 80's movie stars two legendary actors, the first being the late, great John Candy and living legend Dan Aykroyd. Chet (Candy) and his family head to a lake resort in Wisconsin to enjoy a summer vacation. All is well at the Lake until Chet's sister in law shows up with her investment banker husband (Aykroyd) and their two children. The tension reaches a high during water activities. Chet just wants to go home but when the family experiences an emergency together at the Lake they'll learn that no matter what they really are each other's family. So go watch the movie! It's a classic 80's film with that John Hughes special touch.

Now on to a little story...
(2013 Cabin)

I know this movie doesn't seem to Thanksgiving but there's a reason why this movie was chosen for this week. Beezy's family goes to Lake Tahoe every year for Thanksgiving. He's been going there since he was a little kid. This year is no different. He will be there with his family and deep frying a turkey. Listening to his family talk about old times and talking about upcoming family events. They'll play games, go shop around Tahoe on Black Friday and they'll just enjoy each other's company. He always has a great time year after year. They've even spotted wild animals over the years. Everything from wild bears to coyotes. He's even completed dare's out in the snow.
Yep. That's him doing a snow angel in the freezing cold weather of Tahoe in only his underwear. Clearly, I wasn't around to stop that ridiculous behavior. Now he's got me in his life for that.

Beezy will continuing his family tradition of Thanksgiving in Tahoe this year. What will you be doing for Thanksgiving?

We'll be spending Thanksgiving at home, just us and the dogs. Making Thanksgiving dinner, watching Christmas movies, and putting up Christmas stuff!

Thanksgiving will be sadly not celebrated as planned. Just us two at home, and then he has to go to work at 5.30pm that same day. :( Planned was a trip to the in-laws and spend the days in Reno. :( Booooo.
