Fall TV: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

A new year of fall television brings the DVR busting at the seams. For my house we can decide what we want to keep recording usually after the 2nd episode and sometimes after the pilot. This year we've already weeded out some new shows and added some to our line up.

The good...
I am loving the Blindspot! I really like the characters and the premise of the show. It's fast paced and you don't know what to expect next!

The Player reminds me of The Fugitive but on steroids. This show is surprisingly good. I'm hoping it makes it because I've heard it's not doing too great in the ratings. Wesley Snipes is out of prison for his tax evasion so he's got to make some money some how.

Blood & Oil
This show reminds me of Dynasty and Dallas put together! Taking place in North Dakota in an up and coming town, a husband and wife go there to make something for themselves. Quickly they get involved with the richest people in town. They are partnering up for oil digging. What they didn't count on was an oil tycoon's son being disowned and out to get everyone who isn't helping him. It's cheesy and I love it!

The bad...
Rosewood
I have to say, the previews leading up to the first episode were pretty weak. It didn't seem that interesting and the main character's job, I wondered if it was a real job. I tried to like this show and the episode was mildly entertaining. The only thing I didn't like is their story line didn't really match what they were saying. In the pilot episode a girl is killed and they say she has so much promise. Then in the same episode we find out she's dating a felon and a was working on a drug boat. Yeah.... so much promise. I don't think I'll be watching any future episodes unless I'm really bored.

The ugly...

I really wanted to like this show. When I saw the preview I instantly set it to record. I love anything to do with the FBI and the fact that this was a show taking place at their training center made it even better. Then the first episode came on and it was so far fetched I couldn't even play pretend along with them. The preview wasn't even like the show. I won't be tuning in to episode two. No thank you.

What are you watching?

OMG! Blindspot and Quantico are both GREAT shows so far. I'm watching Rosewood, but I'm not convinced of it yet. haha

I tried to get into Blood and Oil and Quantico but I just haven't been able to. I think I need to rewatch Blood and Oil though. I'm loving Scream Queens. I wasn't sure if I would but it's so fun. It has become my husband's favorite show, no joke.

I am still a bit on the fence about Player! I do like it and I will keep watching it. But it is not on my "have to watch asap" list!
I really do enjoy Scream Queens, it's plain dumb humor just cracks me up!
And I totally agree on Quantico, why to far fetched, and a bit all over the place!

Love Blood & Oil so far...haven't fully watched any other main shows, except for Grandfathered but that's about it, that's more a Sitcom. Haha. So far fall has been good...I just keep watching "old" shows that have worked before.

We've been watching Fear the Walking Dead, but it hasn't been really that great honestly. The season was so short since it was a pilot season, but the story wasn't quite what I was expecting.

We're getting most of these shows here in Aus. Quantico has already aired along with The Player, and Blindspot is coming. I haven't/won't be watching them as they don't interest me.

I watch most US shows online now as we don't air many due to lack of air time and only 16 Free to Air channels. Foxtel (like cable) has more but we don't all have Foxtel.
