Weekend Review

Finally! The fall weather has come to northern California. Rejoice! I have been longing to bust out my leather boots, leggings and chunky knit sweaters. I hate being cold but after dealing with 90+ degree heat for months and zero rain I’m happy to see the temperature fall. The temperature drop came just in time to wear what I kept from my September Stitch Fix Box…

I kept the stripped top. While I really loved the pants, they were a little too big in the front. The blazer was cute too but I know that I wouldn’t get a lot of wear out of it for the price. I’m anxiously waiting to see what my October box brings me! I’ve asked my stylist for clothing only and tons of fall pieces. Don’t let me down Edith (my stylist)!

When my future mother in law moved in with us, I learned from her the amazingness of QVC. Last Christmas she did tons of her shopping through them and got some great things at great prices. So the other day when a QVC catalog came in the mail and I decided to give it a look. I found the most amazing fall sweater and knew immediately that I wanted it. Then I saw it was super cheap because it was their deal of the day. Then on top of that it was on easy pay so I could break it up into two payments. Done and done! It arrived in the mail and I wore it the next day. Thankfully that was on a 70 degree weather day and not the heat wave day of 90 we have gone back in to.

We are in to fall and only 2 months out from wedding day! Ekkk! This past weekend we checked more things off our "to-do" list and bought our wedding bands. Since my engagement ring is Tacori we got a Tacori band. Beezy's is ready now because they had their size in the store but my tiny carnival hands needed a 4.5 and mine will arrive in 4-6 weeks. Just in time for the wedding! Here's what his Tacori band looks like...

While everyone was in the theater watching The Martian, we watched Everest!

I thought the movie was really good. I saw it in 3D (which by the way I hadn't seen a 3D movie in years) and it was really good. The movie was 2 hours long but it didn't feel like it. Since it's based on the true story of climbers in the 1990s, it seemed really interesting. I secretly am a little obsessed with stories about Everest. If you haven't seen it go watch!

How was your weekend?

Your husbands band looks incredible, I love it!

I want to see The Martian. I've seen so many Everest documentaries.

Sounds like a great weekend. StitchFix is fun. I can't wait for mine to arrive again {I'm getting my fixes every third month}. Plus, so glad temps went down although the sun is still way too strong. That is when I miss SoCal...an ocean breeze giving rain and some sort of a wind...but, they don't get the fall like feeling we get up here. :)
Two more months?! SOOOOO excited for you two. :) Time will pass by like you have no idea.

xoxo

Have you read Into Thin Air? Is that the book Everest is based on? It's good.

Also the striped top is super cute
