Christmas Eve in West Virginia

Let the holiday recaps begin! If you follow me on instagram, twitter or facebook then you know that I was able to go home for the holidays!

My journey home began with a red eye on Saturday, December 22nd. I didn't get home until the afternoon of the 23rd but hey... that's what red eyes are all about. Once I landed it was time to wrap all of those Christmas gifts I had been getting shipped to WV for three months. 60 presents later and only one causality.

Once the wrapping was finally finished we were able to relax and watch some of our favorite holiday movies. The jet lag started to set in and I passed out. I woke up on Christmas Eve and started the day off right with a Santa pancake.
Plus Santa had to go out and get one last present for Josh's son....

Every year I set up my grandma's Christmas tree for her and this year was no different. Since I was coming into town so close to Christmas, I figured she would set it up early but she totally waited for me! I made my way up to her house and got it all set up!

opened presents I headed back to spend Christmas eve with my mom. We took ugly Christmas sweater photos...
We went and looked at Christmas lights...
And then we opened up our one present. It's a tradition that we exchange one gift on Christmas eve and then get ready for Santa to visit. Well don't worry too much guys... I was a good girl this year and Santa brought me presents!!

Awww, what a magical Christmas! I am sure that was amazing to have Josh's son for Christmas Eve and Christmas morning!

This post made me really mourn Christmas. I cannot believe it's over already!

That is so sweet that your grandma waited for you. It must be nice knowing some things don't change.

That was so smart to have your gifts shipped home and just to wrap them once you get there. It looks like you made the most of your time home.
