Allegiant

*Spoilers are contained in this post*

Allegiant is the third and final installment in the Divergent Trilogy. I waited months for this book. I had such high hopes for it. I loved the first book, thought the second book was pretty good but hated the cliff hanger at the end so when this book came out I knew it would finish with a bang.

For me it ended with a fizzle.

I devoured the first two books in the series. I don't know if it was the setting of the story or the fact that we found out some of the mysteries up front in this book but I had a really hard time reading it after the half way point. I love Four. I've always loved Four since the beginning of Divergent but this book, for me... put him in this hold that made him not Four. I didn't like how the characters interacted with each other, I didn't like the interaction that they did have and I hated how they ended the story of Peter and Christina. I also hate that we never found out what really happened to Marcus.

I felt like Veronica Roth threw a lot of softballs and the only hardball she threw was with Tris. I mean come on! I'm still excited to see the Divergent movie and when I went and saw Catching Fire, they had a really great preview for it. However, I don't know if they'll end up doing two other movies but I can guarantee unless they re-do the ending for the movie then I probably won't enjoy how they end it in the theater as well.

Have you read it? What did you think?

I haven't read this one yet, but I could barely get through the first two! I don't know why... so many people like them but I just couldn't get into it. I'll read this one because I can't NOT finish a series. :)
