February Stitch Fix

Guess what showed up on my door step? My February Stitch Fix box! This month's box focused on black and white styles with a pop of color and designs. My stylist Katy must have had a sixth sense because I was hoping to mix it up a bit by getting skirts, tops and dresses and that's just what happened! This month's fix has me really undecided on what to keep. I loved three pieces and I wanted to rip the tags off and claim them as mine forever. But...this is where you come in to play! Help me decide what to keep and what to send back. Before we get started on what's in my box and figuring out what to keep, here's how Stitch Fix works just incase you've been living without the internet.

Start by filling out your style profile. You will complete all sorts of questions on sizing, pricing, preferences, colors, etc. You can also write notes about likes and dislikes. Make sure to link your fashion board on Pinterest so your stylist can see what you like. This really helps! The notes to your stylist can really help determine what you get in your box. Take the time to write your stylist a note!

Next, order your first fix! Your credit card will be charged a $20.00 styling fee however, if you keep any item [one or more] you will be credited back the $20.00 towards that purchase. I always recommend keeping at least one item or you are essentially giving away $20.00 and getting nothing in return. You will receive 5 items (made up of clothing, jewelry, and handbags). I personally never want jewelry in my fix so I just always let my stylist know! If you refer a friend you get credit so your styling fee could potentially be free.

When your box arrives decide what you want to keep and what you want to send back (in the pre-paid postage envelope)! You have 3 business days to decide so use this time to try everything on, see what you have in your closet that pairs well with it and don't be afraid to yes to something that you wouldn't normally.

This is what makes Stitch Fix fun! It's like being a celebrity and getting clothing sent to you! I've chosen to receive monthly fixes but remember it is in no way a subscription service and you are able to decide when you want another fix, whether that be in 6 months or 2 years from your first fix! As always, if you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments section below. To save some cash on future fixes they offer an awesome referral package, if you use my referral link I'll get to bypass the styling fee at least once!

Let's get started! Remember - If you see anything that you like below, feel free to pin it and/or ask your stylist in the notes section of your next fix for something similar!

1. Cace Sweater Dress- London Times. Petite Medium

Perfect length. Soft. Warm and I love the design. It's 3/4 sleeves are comfortable to move around in and this isn't one of those dresses that feels like it's heavy to wear.

2. Yates Open Cardigan- Colourworks. Small

I love this grey and black stripped sweater. The only problem. I have one exactly like it but without the hood. While I do wish I had this one instead because it has a hood and is better quality than the one I own it's too much like mine to keep. So this will be a return for me.

3. Chilton Lace Up Back Knit Top- Colette. Small

I loved this top as soon as I pulled it out of the box. I had been looking for a versatile black sweater and when this arrived I was like Walah! Not to mention that's it's super soft and has just enough detail with the lace up back to make it unique.

4. Dorian Embroidery Detail Blouse- Skies are Blue. Small

I'm not one to show off my shoulders. It's a sheer sleeve and I wasn't digging this top at all. When I pulled it out of the box, I thought "Oh, this is a fun color!" but I don't like the fact that it's sheer and I'm not too crazy about the embroidery details. This is a return for me.

5. Leena Printed Skirt- Renee C. Petite Medium

I love the design of this skirt. I also love that it's a pencil skirt and isn't your typical print. It's also really soft and comfortable.

So what would keep and what would you send back?

Love that dress and the skirt. Thanks for this post, I have always wondered about stitch fix... Especially the charges behind it.

You got some nice stuff! I've heard a lot of good things about Stitch Fix but I'd be worried I wouldn't like anything I got and just wasting money.

I love StitchFix. I would have probably kept the pink sheer top but other than that I would have kept/returned the same. :) Mine arrives this week. Finally. Busy month for them. Hahahaha. Can't wait to see what they have in store for me.
