Theater Thursday

It's Thursday and that can only mean one thing around here. It's Theater Thursday! This week's featured movie stars The Rock Dwayne Johnson in San Andreas.

Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock stars as Ray, a fire and rescue leader for Los Angeles County. He's also an experienced pilot. Ray's daughter Blake, is set to leave Los Angeles to head to San Francisco for college. He's requested the time off to make the drive with her since they've spent a lot of time apart. Ray and his wife have separated leaving Blake bouncing back between them. However... Mother Nature has other plans for him. When a major earthquake hits in Nevada and destroys the Hoover Dam, Ray is called back to work for the emergency. That means his daughter needs a ride to San Francisco.

Luckily, her mother and Ray's soon to be ex-wife Emma, is dating millionaire builder/architect Daniel Riddick who owns his own plane. Daniel takes Blake to San Francisco and once there gets sidetracked at his office to conduct some business. He has her wait in the lobby until he's done. There Blake meets Ben and his brother Ollie. Ben is there for an interview and Ollie is along to tour San Francisco since their in town from England. While Ben goes to his interview, Ollie keeps Blake company in the lobby.

Once Daniel's business is done, Blake and him go to leave through the parking garage. As they start to leave another earthquake rocks the town. Blake becomes trapped in the garage. Ben and Ollie come to her rescue but Blake knows she needs to get ahold of her dad. He's the real person who can help her. At the same time L.A. is experiencing it's own earthquakes and Ray is doing everything he can to get to Emma. Once Ray and Emma are together they know that they must make the trip up north to get their daughter to safety.

Watch this action packed movie to see what happens!

Saw this movie online last year. Love it because it's a big disaster flick and I love disaster movies. Hate it because there were characters that weren't needed, like Kylie Minogue's.
