Food, Movies & Manners

First up, I want to say hello to all of my new followers. Yesterday, I had a few new bloggers come over and join in at Crazy Shenanigans. Don't forget to say hello, that way I can check out your blog as well!

Fair warning, this week is going to be crazy around here because it's my Birthday come Thursday!! I've been so busy already and it's only Tuesday. Yesterday was a busy Monday for me. I had lunch at Cheddars with one of my favorites, Erica. Then afterwards we did a little shopping. She moves to South Carolina in a few months and I'm so sad! Of course we've already decided that she has to be a super nice couch so I can come crash on it.
(My friend Erica & I)
After that, I was able to get home, change clothes and get back out the door before being late to a dinner. Once dinner was over, we ended up seeing the A-Team. I'd heard a lot of bad reviews for it, but we both really enjoyed it and some parts were extremely funny.

Ok, question! When did people stop being nice to one another? Can't someone just be nice when someone says or does something nice? I mean really, when did simple manners go out the window?
Example 1: The thank you wave. Sitting in traffic is never fun. When you see that it's hard to get over and you've noticed someone's had on a blinker light for at least a good mile and you let them over. WAVE! It's a simple thank you to a nice gesture.

Example 2: When you know someone is sitting alone at home and you call/text them inviting them to come out and do something fun. Simply respond with either a, "Oh yes that'd be great." or a "Thank you but no thank you." It's called being polite!

Have a happy tuesday bloggers and if you see me out in traffic, I will wave!

Happy early birthday. It drives me batty when you do something nice for someone such as letting them in front of you in traffic and no nice gesture to show their appreciation. Ugh!

Happy early birthday!!
I used to get all twisted about it when I tried to do something nice for someone with no "thank you" type action. I am also a mom of 4 and a ms/hs teacher, and that is a huge issue for me seeing the way kids treat each other, even their friends. I got to thinking, who am I being nice for, them or me?
I figure that I should just try to be nice for the sake of being nice, cuz its the right thing to do, and if I get a thank you, awesomesauce! If not, meh, oh well, and on with my day. I am not always successful at being a nice person, but I sure try, at least my kids(all of them) get the general idea.

I agree that people don't seem as nice as they used to. The waving in traffic drives me bonkers - it's such a simple gesture that I don't understand why its overlooked! Enjoy your birthday week!

Happy Early Birthday!
Biggest Pet Peeve about driving is when people don't do the courtesy wave. Drive me nuts! How hard is it to thank someone? The blinker would be my next pet peeve, even though I'm bad at using it too. Oops!

Ok, fine, it's your birthday week, but does that mean you can leave me hanging on Twitter about The Bachelorette? I missed both you and Amanda! Happy birthday!!

I SO know what you mean. I think Toronto is particularly bad. I haven't seen a thank you wav in forever. But I've gotten nasty looks from people while waiting for the light. For no reason! What's up with that? Random act of nastiness for the day?

People really need to start being nicer to each other. It makes life so much less stressful. I have been considerin moving to a small town for this reason.

Anyway, HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!!! XO

i think general population just sort of forgot about basic manners.... a while ago. Strange. There's too many people on the planet and we spend too much doing things we don't necessarily want to do, but we have to do. You know... chores and such.
Anywho thats no excuse. People should just be more POLITE!!!

Happy Happy Early Birthday! I'll make sure to tell you on Thursday, too :) I'm with you on the "being polite" thing... I did a whole lot of thank you waving in downtown Columbus yesterday. One of my pet peeves is when you say something as simple as "i'm going to a baseball game tomorrow! i am excited!" And some grouchy rude person has to reply with "YOU couldn't PAY me to go to a baseball game!" Ugh.. Just don't say anything at all, mean person!
P.S. the concert was fantastic - his voice is AMAZING! Super entertainer :)

We loved A-team, too! I thought it was hilarious. And I know what you mean about the courtesy wave. Maybe it's the new area you're at?

People in general suck these days. It's kind of sad to see how our society is just plain rude and clueless on how to treat others.

Happy birthday week! :)

Amen about the manners! It's so annoying that some people don't have basic knowledge of EASY manners!
