Theater Thursday

It's Thursday folks and that can only mean one thing around here. It's Theater Thursday
This week's featured movie is Outrageous Fortune
Outrageous Fortune stars Lauren (Shelley Long) a struggling actress trying to make a break in NYC. Awaiting her next part she signs up for an acting class with the world renowned Shakespearian master Korzenowski (Robert Prosky). In this class she meets Sandy (Bette Midler), a waitress turned actress. Taking an instant dislike to each other the women never speak and laugh when the other fails in class participations. What Lauren and Sandy don't know is that they're dating the same man... Michael (Peter Coyote).
Michael a self proclaimed school teacher, has big plans involving both women. Taking them from New York City to the deserts of New Mexico, Sandy and Lauren had no idea that their lives would be flipped upside down.

George Carlin makes a hilarious appearance in this movie. If you've never seen it then you're missing out! This movie is available on dvd and can be found on my sites where dvds are purchased.

I'm def. going to look for this at the local movie rental - which has lots of oldies but goodies, and tons and tons of VHS, even! Yeah! Love me some George Carlin :)

George Carlin is one my most favorite comedians. RIP. I had never even heard of this movie, but I will keep an eye out. If he is in it, it must be fun!
