The Trip Up North

Apart from white water rafting, I went up north to help celebrate one of my best friends Birthday. Technically her birthday wasn't until yesterday but I could only swing Friday-Monday off work and hey, you do what you can for good friends.

So Friday it all started with the drive to northern West Virginia. Got there and proceeded over to the Robinson Mall in PA where I did some major damage at Forever 21. I am a complete sucker for their clothing. They always have such great stuff! Here's a few things that I bought:

I can't wait to wear it all through the summer. Plus I'll be talking it all with me when I move, so I felt it was worth buying. Plus hello... Forever 21 is so affordable!

Once shopping was done, we all great ready and headed out to a local place called P3. It happened to be another person's birthday that night, Rachel (who is the sister of Leanna, which is a good friend of mine). Everyone who ended up going rafting was there that night. We did tons of karaoke before hitting the hay and trying to prepare for the next day of rafting.
Saturday was white water rafting day but that's all the day I met Frownie. Who's Frownie? Well he's a brownie with a frown drawn on. That morning, we stopped at a Kings Restaurant. I'd never heard of or ate at one and as soon as I saw Frownie, I fell in love. So I got a stuffed Frownie and he spent the rest of the trip with us. We even thought about taking Frownie on the raft but decided against it. Expect the adventures of Frownie to make an appearance every now and then from here on out.
Sunday was the big day. It was the day of Kristin's surprise Birthday Cookout. We made up this elaborate plan to get her out of the house and keep her busy until the afternoon. We shopped around and then headed to get pedicures. Then it was back to the house to surprise her! She got the cake she had been talking about!
All in all it was a great weekend and I loved getting to see my bff and making some new friends in the process. In fact, the whole weekend made me a little sad. Why? because I realized exactly what I'd be missing once I move. I'll miss being able to see my friends a lot easier than it will be living 3 time zones away. I'll miss seeing the beautiful scenery that's on the east coast. I'll miss getting to see the fall leaves change colors and I'll miss the hot east coast boys. Man... moving is going to be fun but so bittersweet.

Super cute clothes. I'm really diggin' the last blouse, so cute.

That cake is adorable. Out of all of the Disney princess' Ariel has always been my favorite.

I hate when the things you'll be missing take some of the excitement out of moving. :( But, I'm sure you'll be able to stay in touch with everyone!! :)

Lovely outfits! And your weekend sounded fun.
Don't be sad about moving further away - true friends will always be friends no matter what!

I love F21. I don't care about buying more trendy things from there because they don't last more than a couple seasons, but I'm not paying for them to last long.

Love your Forever21 finds! And you'll totally miss everything, BUT it's kinda like I always say.. You wanna leave the party while you're still having fun. Once you're over it, it's not a good feeling. It's way better to have fond memories and great things to look forward to visiting than being SO over everything that you're ready to get the hell out and never look back. :)

Oooh, I love F21 too! You don't have one where you live? When you visit/drive through Des Moines we're gonna have to do some damage shopping here... It may be the middle of Iowa, but we have some decent shopping!
I'm a sucker for H&M... which, unfortunately we do NOT have. :(:(:(

That sounds like an awesome trip, and that cake is super awesome. I love Forever 21, but I hate that so many of their clothes are so slutty, but you can always find good stuff there, and usually at awesome prices.

Love the maxi dress you got at F21!

Moving is hard - it's such a challenge to be away from the people you love, BUT the bonus is now they have a super cool place to come and visit!

You were at the Mall at Robinson? That's totally in my neck of the woods... just outside of Pittsburgh.
