A New Day

Today I started counting calories. I've done this before but it's been a very long time. I decided that since our countdown only has a mere 119 days (note the sarcasm in the mere) that it's time I get in gear. I don't know where my Jillian Michaels Shred dvd is but it still has not arrived. Thank goodness I have the Jackie Warner WorkOut dvd to fall back on. I'm going to limit myself to 1250 calories a day. I feel like I've been eating everything! It's time to figure out if I actually have been! Haha!

Work today and tomorrow then it's my weekend!!! Yay! However, quilt pictures will have to wait until tomorrow. Sorry!

Yesterday for those of you wondering which Christmas movie I watched. I dusted off All I Want For Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you've never seen it. It's a must add to your Christmas Holiday movie list!

HAhah, you put a new twist to Christmas in July! Good luck with the calorie counting and THE Shred. I did it and loved it. Felt stronger after only 3 days! Know it sounds crazy, but can't wait to hear how it goes for you.

I know the Shred is delayed on Netflix and everyone is doing it so it might be a stock issue on why it's delayed. That's like the most popular workout video. Jillian is gonna be RICH.

Good luck with your calorie counting. Please just be aware that 1200 calories is the bare minimum the human body needs to function. If you go below that amount the body goes into starvation mode and starts to store fat.

okay, I'm done with my schpiel!

I bought the Shred and it kicked my butt! Seriously, she doesn't let you breathe! If you stick with it you are bound to look good.

I use Sparkpeople.com when I want to count calories. There is so much that I have no idea how many calories are in it and this helps. Plus, I learned where most of my calories were coming from and how to allot them for the day. Give it a whirl, it's free :)

Good luck with your calorie maintenance, I've been doing that as well to help get me jump started. I went off program this last week on vacation, this week back in tracking mode is going to be hard.

I did see someone mention above about not going too low on the calories, my trainer gave me a generous 1400-1500 when working out. woo hoo!

Random snack find: The new Special K crackers (17 for only 90 cals) and a little wedge of laughing cow lite cheese for 35 cal more. It really does satisfy when I have a savory craving. If you come up with any good ideas make sure to share!

Haha, I love that movie!

I really like the shred, too, but it was hard for me to keep up with it because I keep going out of town! Whenever I do it consistently I always see results, though, it's a good workout!

Good luck with counting! They say if you write everything that you eat down, it helps too? You might give it a try!

I caved in and ordered the Shred, too, but it still hasn't arrived!

I LOVE that movie and I haven't seen it in ages. I look for it every year on TV, but it's not a popular Christmas movie.
