Mine are also drugs, cheating and lying. I also consider inappropriate female friends a deal breaker. No one needs the added distrust and suspicion in a new relationship.
Smoking! Thank goodness Mr. Marine never did it but if he had we wouldn't have gone on date #2, much less ended up married. Honestly, being a friend to someone who smokes is difficult for me, and unless they leave to go far away from me while they are smoking...it is a friendship breaker too!
Definitely drugs and actually smoking is very close to being a deal breaker for me, when I find out someone smokes it really turns me off.
Being lazy is also a huge deal breaker for me. I know most guys are inherently lazy, but I'm talking about the guys that literally lay on their asses all day and don't even bother to look for a job, if they don't have ambition I'm not likely to be interested.
Finally, it's a deal breaker to be really unhealthy. Everyone has a little extra fat (myself included) but if someone was quite overweight and obviously not even *trying* to change, then that would be a deal breaker.
Hmm, I'm quite picky. Good thing I already have a man!
Lying is an obvious for me and cheating :) Deal breakers for my high maintenance self include no manners, chewing with your mouth open and being dirty hahaha.
hitting, cheating, drugs...that's pretty much a given for most girls. I also agree with the girl that said LAZY. I cannot stand guys that are 20 something who are doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
So... this is going to sound awful (but it's honest), but I am a floor mat. In my heart, I know I should have strict deal breakers, and yet I am the person who will simply try to forgive and fix and then I just get hurt.... I know this, and I am trying to be so much stronger and hold my ground... but easier said than done. At least for me...
I agree with yours! Also, i'm NOT 'one of the guys' so don't treat me like one! I like a gentlemen. Maybe it's because i'm southern, but is it too much to ask? I think not...
I think a deal breaker for me would be a guy who didn't want to have children at anytime in his future. Also, not that I think about smoking would also be a pretty big deal breaker.
Lack of integrity, dishonest, disrespectful behavior; those kind of wrap most of the actions that would be deal breakers for me.
This one is totally superficial, but bad teeth are a deal breaker for me. I've got a real thing about that. I don't expect perfection but the mouth needs to look clean and taken care of.
Now that I'm married, there's not much that could make me leave him. I'd be really really really upset over lying. I hate liers more than anything. I tend to be really forgiving and luckily he doesn't do much for me to forgive. Smoking or any kind of abuse were deal breakers before I tied the knot though!
doing drugs, and cheating and smoking are deal breakers with me. Im sorta iffy on lying. Sometimes its for the best to lie about certain things. but shady lying is not ok. lol.
I agree with your 3. I don't really know what other things would break my relationship... When I was dating around, though, anything stupid would've been a deal breaker. I had a no-nonsense dating policy, lol.
I'm pretty much with you on your deal breakers. Though I add cigarette smoking to the list. And (thank goodness I've never had to deal with this) physical abuse.

Your deal breakers are mine too.

Oh easy, lying, hitting and cheating are not accepted.
Same as above. Poor anger management also. Self-discipline is very important.
Lying, abuse of any kind, and not getting along with family! Good post!

I have to say ditto to yours. I fully agree!
I am with you on those three! Work ethic is a deal breaker too!
Those are my top 3 too, plus any sort of abuse.

Mine are the same as yours. Annoying habit that's NOT a dealbreaker but still drives me insane: laziness! :)
Agreed! Drugs, lying and cheating! And someone who is mean to my friends and family.
Mine are close to yours along with abuse. that's a bigger hell no than anything else.
D
