It's time for Theater Thursday!
This week's featured movie is, Connie and Carla
Connie and Carla have been best friends since middle school. They've also been singing and performing show tunes since around the same time. After one of their performances, they witness a mob hit and need to escape town. They end up in Los Angeles and don't know what to do to make ends meet since they're also trying to stay in hiding.
Connie (Nia Vardalos) and Carla (Toni Colletti) end up in a local dive and perform in "drag" to their show tunes. Over time as they become more popular they begin to worry about getting noticed and found. However, their dream of being the hit of a dinner theater show pushes them to continue. They also befriend some of the locals and understand what they're going through. Connie even begins to have feelings for their one of their friends brother Jeff (David Duchovny).
Connie and Carla is adorable!!! If you've never seen it you have to watch it. It's great.

I've never heard of this one! I'll have to watch it! It looks like it would be a cute movie.
Love, love, love this! I love Nia Valaros (sp?). I follow her Twitter and a few months ago she posted an address to mail a letter to and she promised to send back an autographed Connie & Carla soundtrack. Maybe you should look into it! She "tweeted" me back once and I was so *stoked!* Hahaha
