A Bit Too Much?

It's no secret, I am a huge fan of reality television and especially the Real Housewives franchise.
But... is it becoming too much? It all started so simple with The Real Housewives of Orange County. (Ironically there's only one of them left from season 1)
Then came along The Real Housewives of New York. Then Atlanta and New Jersey followed. Now there's even the District of Columbia (DC).
Apparently that's not enough because the rumor has it that Bravo is currently filming the real housewives of Beverly Hills. One of the housewives is rumored to be Kelsey Grammer's wife. Another is Paris Hilton's aunt. So my question is, where will it end? There's housewives everywhere and more out there that are real.

Don't get me wrong, I'm as guilty as anyone else who's watching. We feed into the show's success by tuning in each week. I've been sucked into their arguments, drama and cat fights. I even get excited wondering what will happen next. However, D.C. stopped me in my tracks. I can honestly say that this is the bad lemon in the bunch. It's boring with a capital B O R I N G!

So as the show's continue and women come and go per season, I keep in mind that while I may not live their lavish lifestyles that I am in fact, healthy, cat fight free and happy.

I agree, it is a bit too much! The only time I watch it is on the weekends if there is NOTHING else on.

I love reality TV but the Housewives is one show I haven't gotten into.

DC is really boring but Jersey last night was crazy! I don't know about Beverly Hills I would rather see like a Texas one.

I hear you. I have my own love/hate relationship with reality tv. I'm battling with Kate Plus 8 right now. I want to quit. I can't stand Kate anymore! But I've been watching since they were just a one hour special on TLC and I can't seem to turn it off. :(

I am toraly guilty of being obsessed with the Housewives franchise. I'm pretty sure I've seen 90% of all the episodes produced. But I REFUSE to watch the DC and Beverly Hills ones. Not only do they not interest me, but the franchise is getting out of control. Others must agree because the DC ratings aren't good. The show of Bethenny's Lost Footage got more viewers.

Oh but have you heard...it doesn't even stop there.

There is a "Real Housewives" daytime talk show in the works. Yup.

You ready for the NJ "reunion" brawl?

I asked myself the same thing...where will it end?! I came to realize it might end when we're in it!!! :) hahaha. ;)
Have to admit, haven't watched any of it lately mainly because it's not available over here, but trust me I always watched. I'm a huge reality TV sucker! :D

Have a fantastic day girl.

Too much! I caught a couple episodes of Orange County and feel Bravo took it too far. But that's just me ...

Guilty as charged. I watch all but have to stop with DC. it's just too boring. I really liked the first two seasons of the OC version simply because it was FUN! But now they all end up having their "celebrity" go to their head and then the show becomes about that.

I'm with you. It's getting out of control, but I will probably watch whatever they make anyway.

I'm with you on this one. When will it end?! I mean, I'm a sucker for this show and all - but have you seen the DC one? Thankfully its boring to me so I'm not watching that one. But the NJ reunion last night - talk about drama!

I think the DC one is totally built around the fact that that one chick and her husband snuck into the White House. That is all they have going for them.

I'll admit it. I watch all the Housewives. I've even caught a couple episodes of the boring ones.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one NOT to like this newest addition to the Real Housewives franchise. Besides it being B.O.R.I.N.G. the ladies are horrible...except Mary! I've been debating whether or not to watch DC anymore.

I heard the Beverly Hills one was happening with Kelsey Grammers (soon to be ex-) wife. I'm from California but am NOT looking forward to this one either. I think OC is enough of Cali!!

But I am loving the NJ reunion show!! I read that Danielle isn't coming back but they don't want to release that info until the season is completely over.....we'll have to wait and see!! ;)

I was just in LA (See my most recent post) and saw JACQUELINES husband from the NJ Housewives!!! I was so star struck (pathetic i'm aware.. haha)

This is my guilty pleasure.... I hadn't heard about Beverly hills but id be lying if i didn't say this made my day... hahahahahaha

I was watching the RHONJ reunion and I know Danielle is crazy. Obviously. But Theresa is just as embarrassing. Carolyne's the only adult on the show it seems like.

I only watch OC and NJ, I couldn't handle the ladies of NY, Atl and as far as DC goes I only watched about 15 minutes and decided it would be one I wouldn't watch. I won't lie though, I *AM* excited for Beverly Hills!
