Our wedding reception was meant to be a winter wonderland. We chose to stick with our winter blue colors and have our hand painted manzanita trees continue from the ceremony into the reception. On our circular tables we had these large trees as the centerpiece. They held ornaments featuring our colors and tea lights.
The circular tables were also covered in a special linen. The linen's featured crystals and in the light made them look like they had small snowflakes on them. The trees were so large they helped fill the large room and our guests could admire them from any seat. We also had silver chiavari chairs continuing our color scheme.
I didn't incorporate a lot of DIY details into our wedding. Granted we had a few but I tried to keep it under control. One of the projects that I did do was the place cards. I had the help of two friends but we created these place cards for each of our guests. We used different color snowflakes as food indicators but our guests just thought they were a nice decoration.
On our wood king tables we continued our theme with white flowers and blue colored ornaments. We also used manzanita tree branches on the tables. We also reused the bridesmaids flowers as decorations on our sweetheart table.
The black table was used during the day for the groomsmen to hang out while we were getting ready before the first look. It was removed before the ceremony and way before the reception. It was in the dancing area of the room.
We had a sweetheart table just for us. We had our own place cards and miniature nutcrackers. We also had our toasting flutes on our table. Our table was in the prime location where we could see all of our guests and the dance floor.
Before the lights went down....
Once the lights went down we had chose some blue up lighting to feature the chandelier. It also made the color go over the room and feel like we were in Frozen.
Our seating chart as you enter the doors. This was custom made by one of my fabulous bridesmaids.
I love how our reception turned out! I only wish we would have turned down the lights earlier because it made the room really pop!
