Let's start at the beginning: Monday afternoon, I headed to the airport, checked my bags and got ready to board the flight to funville aka Orlando. After getting everything checked in we boarded the jet plane for our 1.5 hour flight! 
We were given EXIT row seats and being the good citizen that I am, I took my job very seriously! I studied that emergency route plan.
When we landed in Orlando, it was pouring the rain but by the time we got the rental car, got our bags and got on I-4 it was sunshine again! Once we got checked into the hotel, we didn't waste anytime and headed over to Downtown Disney and dined at one of my favorite places to go, Planet Hollywood! I'm a big fan of seeing the memorabilia. It was packed out! The wait was kinda forever, but we trudged on and finally got seated. I ate my meal under Truman's bicycle.
If you've never been to Downtown Disney then oh my! You're missing out. They have everything from Irish Pubs to T-Rex restaurants to soap stores. It's great. Here's a few of the things I enjoyed seeing... Lego Land
They had these huge statues created out of legos. It was really neat! They also had miniture cities with tons of detail...
I also ran into one of my favorite childhood toys... Mr. Potato Head
and of course no trip would be complete without finding a Christmas store!
So there you have it. There's day one! Next up is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

That looks awesome! I keep hearing that the Harry Potter place is amazing. That is hilarious you took your seat duty seriously. I would certainly want you in my exit row on a plane!
Isn't it crazy, we go to Disney every year and never make it to Downtown Disney! :) But that's probably for the best. I'd break the bank in the Christmas store!

I'm still bummed I didnt' get to visit with you when you were in Orlando! Downtown Disney is super fun...so much to do, you get "disneyfied" but it doesn't cost a cent! Can't wait to hear about HP

I didn't even know Planet Hollywood still existed. The one in Tahoe closed years ago and Sacramento just lost our Hard Rock too.

I'm SO GLAD you had fun! I'm seriously sad that I'm not in FL anymore - I totally would have met you down there for lunch or something! Our favorite place at Downtown Disney was Earl of Sandwich. We could eat there EVERY MEAL! I'm so excited you found the Christmas store too! Isn't it amazing?! There are so many neat places to see in Orlando. I can't wait for the Harry Potter post!!!!
