Theater Thursday

It's Thursday and that can only mean one thing... it's Theater Thursday! This week's featured movie is, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

When I was growing up the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were booming in popularity. I can remember their stuff being everywhere. When the new movie was first announced I got really excited but when I saw the preview, but hey life gets busy and well I finally set down and watched the movie. In June part two is set to hit the theaters.

April O'Neil (Meghan Fox) is a reporter for eyewitness news in New York City. She's currently investigating crimes committed by the Foot Clan who's leader is Shredder. When she becomes a hostage in a subway setting, she sees four vigilantes come to the rescue of the hostages. The four vigilantes free the hostages and catch the Foot Clan. Being the reporter that she is she follows the vigilantes to the roof and what she sees makes her pass out. When she comes to she sees four mutant turtles standing and talking to her. They tell her not to mention them and forget she ever saw them. As they run away she hears two of their names. Having heard those names before she remembers work that her late father was a part of.

Splinter, the leader of the teenage mutant ninja turtles meets April in the sewer and explains that April has met the turtles before as a child and that she's actually the person who saved them from death. The four turtles are happy to have met her and know now that they must protect her since she knows their secret. They also realize they are in danger because the Foot Clan has bigger plans. They plan to release a virus out into the city that will thousands of people. The only ones who can stop them is the Ninja Turtles. Are they ready? Splinter has been training them since they were young but their only teenagers.

Will April and the city of New York remain safe? Watch and find out!
