I don't know why but this year I am really into the Hollywood awards season.
I watched the Golden Globes and was glued to the red carpet presentations. I also thought Ricky Jervais was hilarious. I can't wait for the SAG awards this weekend. I especially can't wait to see what people are wearing.

This morning they announced the nominations for the Oscars and I was shocked. Why? Because this man was not nominated...
I'm sorry but the Academy got it wrong. Have you seen Inception?!? It was amazing and no matter how you feel about him personally, his acting in Inception was phenomenal. I don't know what it is with the Academy but they seem to snub him a lot. I wonder how Leo feels about that? Inception is up for Best Movie though.
One thing I don't get is James Franco. I can't stand him as an actor and everyone goes on and on about how great he is. Um... no.

I haven't gotten into the awards season. I typically wait for the awards re-cap the next day. Still, I know quite a few people who get dressed up in their formal gowns and throw a lavish party in honor!
I completely agree with you!! Leo should've been nominated for Best Actor, Marion Cotillard should've gotten Best Supporting Actress and Chris Nolan for Best Director.. what the hell!! They snub Leo every time and he seriously deserves an Oscar!
I am with you on your outrage about Leo (the man is AWESOME) and your questions about James Franco. Glad I'm not the only one who's confused.

I loved the golden globes too. I have a harder time with the Oscars because I watch a lot more tv than movies.

I have a feeling Leo is gonna get a Lifetime Achievement Award before he gets an Oscar!

I completely agree with you too! Leo should have been nominated for Inception. I thought it was a complex role for him to get into and he did amazing.

I'm not big into award shows, but I can't believe Leo didn't get nominated! I looooved Inception and thought he was SOOO good in it! What a rip off!!
That is sooo funny... I didn't realize Oscar noms were being announced already until I read this, so I had to go check em out... and sure enough, Black Swan was nominated. I'm tellin ya girl, watch it at your own risk!! ;)

Has Leo really never won an Oscar? I have trouble with the oscars because I am not a movie watcher. We rent stupid stuff like the A Team that Kelsey likes and call it a day.
Have you seen 127 hours? I haven't, but I've heard it's intense, and most of the movie is just him, so maybe that's why. And Leo? he totally deserved a nomination, he was fabulous in that movie.
